Story: Pretty standard story. Nothing was standout great, but nothing was terrible enough to make me drop it either. It is definitely less hand-holdy than Haikyuu - if you don't know anything about baseball it's harder to follow since there's no expository dialogue about the sport itself. The last match was the only one that spanned longer than one episode, but actually the flow of that match was done well and was entertaining. The pacing of the story was good.

Art: Art is a letdown. At it's best, it's just standard anime art, but a lot of the time proportions are weird and after episode ... 3 the quality control goes down too. Especially episode 4 has a sudden decline in art quality. After that, it's touch and go.

Characters: Okay characters. There's not much character exploration, but I can at least say one thing about every girl on the team. The most character development is from a secondary character Nozomi, and the biggest range of emotions is from another secondary character Yoshino. They develop a nice friendship by the end, which was character-wise my favorite point. (But Yoshino also tends to be annoying, especially at the start). The main character Yomi also shows a good growth in skill, so that was good to see.

Sound: Voice acting is okay but the characters don't really undergo big emotional moments that would let the voice actors to really show off skills. In terms of the voice, the emotions conveyed are limited by the story and the characters. The opening and ending theme songs aren't to my liking, and I don't recall hearing any theme songs either (if there were theme songs, then they were completely forgettable)

All in all, this is a foundation that they can improve and build a franchise on, but as it's own thing, the anime is just mediocre.

Overall: When you look at it as a children's show, it's pretty good. It's obviously inspired by things like Precure and Miraculous Ladybug , especially that second one. The target audience is younger than Ladybug, I'd say tween is the max for the intended audience age. I watched the show as something brainless to put on while I wasn't feeling well, and it was enjoyable.

Story: The storyline, despite being formulaic, also builds upon itself in a way that definitely feels like there's a story progression. The episodes are short, but I prefer the episode ending when the story is done and not padding it out ... too much - the story does a good job at giving a feel of things moving along at a reasonable pace even when the episodes are short. The ending is an unexpectedly dramatic 2 parter, which I think leaves the door open for season 2. Again, have in mind that I'm judging it as a kids show.

Art: The 3d animation is actually well done, especially on the range of emotions the characters can show in their faces. The art style is similar to Ladybug, but it's a bit more "koreanized" idk how to explain that better - this is more obvious when looking at the male characters - however the quality assurance is much better since things remained pretty consistent and nothing stood out as a noticeable quality drop.

Sound: Watched this on Netflix with the original korean, so I didn't see any mismatch between audio and lipflaps. The voice acting is okay, and the way the little pings speak is also very kids-anime like, with them ending the sentences in characteristic cutesy ways. Someone who is not used to the genre, or hasn't watched shows like Precure, would be unused to it and find it cringy (I still do, if I haven't watched anime in a while), but it comes with the territory. Even the english dub kept this kind of speech.

Character: Pretty okay. Wouldn't say there's any standouts, but I don't remember anyone annoying the shit out of me either. My fave is Marylou who is every tomboy trope rolled into one.
