Steel Ball Run is really a must. However Diamond is Unbreakable is a way better manga overall. SBR is only the 2nd best. The Characters are pretty good, and the art isn't bad, it's just weird.
Another problem is that they only introduce stands at like ch. 15, even tho stands are the most important things in Jojo. But Gyro using Steel Balls is a pretty good idea, because nobody wants to read 3000 pages of just stand fights.
The story is great, Araki tried something new, and it worked well. I've never seen anything like this, and I think that's the point of reading
