Have you ever thought "What a lame protagonist" when watching an anime ?
Sometimes it's like the guy's whole deal is to denigrate and looking down on himself, whining and crying might even be added in some animes.
Well, forget all that. This is the real deal.
I watched this anime about 5 times and except the ecchi parts I fully enjoyed every single second.
Arifureta isn't about "the power of friendship" or "the power of love" or any BS like that.
It's about betrayal, pain, suffering, death, merit and some other things you usually don't see often in "mainstream" / popular animes.

So, everybody around me was talking about this.
My big issue with this anime and some others in the same spirit is the ecchi-ness of it. It feels like new animes aren't good enough to attract people with a good storyline so they throw a bunch of boobs and ass here and there. Honestly, I'd even prefer a filler episode to "compensate" the basic storyline and learn about some character's background, it might even add something to the lore. But no, you get Ecchi all the way.
