I cannot recommend this anime for multiple reasons.

First of all, when consuming a romance based piece of media one of the most important things for me are the characters. Especially when the content is based in our real life world/society. The characters are the elements that make your story intresting and worth the watch/read. I found this anime lacked a lot in this aspect. The characters felt flat and simply followed the archetype of gentle giant and pure sweet girl. Perhaps if I had watched more of the anime I would have come to enjoy the characters if their personality and motivations were more explored, ... but if I don't like something I simply stop consumong said piece of media.

Second of all, I disliked the voice acting in both dub and sub, I can't really explain it but I just couldn't really stand it.

Lastly, even in romance anime/manga there should be a plot and things shouldn't just happen for no reason at all or just so the plot can move on. For example, the fire in the building only happened for the sole purpose of proving the female lead her friends wrong and showing how gentle and good hearted the male lead is. You see instead of using the conflict to provide a meaningful arc about how assumptions about people are mostly wrong and can be harmful, they just resolved the conflict so easily. Yes her friends were proven wrong, but the male lead is seen as an exeption and the friends are just called out. Nothing meaningful happened!

I get why so many people enjoy the anime, but it's just not for me!

Yubisake to Renren (also known as A Sign of Affection) is an enjoyable manga for a casual read. It's nothing earth shattering, but it's cute and well developped. It's perfect for a quick read (it isn't finished yet) if you want something cozy and cute.

The most important thing for when reading a story (specially romance or slice of life) is that the characters don't feel flat. After all these kind of stories cannot depend on an intresting different world to attrack and entertain readers. Luckily the manga knows this and takes great lenghts to show the characterdevelopment of some of the characters. I especially find ... the motivation and characterization of the male lead admirable and unique.
My biggest pet peeve when reading a romance manga or novel is when the pure and inoccent female lead is just seen as that pure and inoccent. They of course can have these characteristics, but that shouldn't be the only thing why others like them.
In this manga Yuki, the female lead, is seen and protrayed as a sweet and inoccent character, but she's also seen as much more than that. She isn't whiny and I'm glad with how her emotions are protrayed.

Do you love interesting stories with compelling characters who each have their own motivation and ideologie?

I absolutely love this story and cannot stop constantly looking when a new chapter drops.
The story is amazing how well planned and thought out it is. It keeps on surprising me and I never lost interest while reading it. The plot twist can be a bit over the top, but there are way more positive aspects that overrule the absurdness or over the topness (is that an actual word?).
This is one of the ... first manga I recommend when my friends ask for recommendations, so if you're bored and want to read an amazing manga this is a really good option

I love this anime so much. There are so many characters, but none of them feel flat or just plain. I think it's quite difficult to not find atleast one character an interesting/fun character.
I've heard a lot of people complain that the main character shouts way too much, but in all honesty you get used to it quickly and it tones done after a couple of episodes.
The worldbuilding is a bit shaky from time to time, but it's easy for me to get over that fact. After all the concept and the overall story are just way too fun and interesting to just focus ... on that fact.
I rated it a 10, that's maybe a bit too much I must admit, but only giving it a 9 feels even more wrong. So my honest rating would be 9.6 out of 10.

There are so many elements in One piece that make me apreciate it and even think of it as an absolute masterpiece.
There are some faults yes, but this anime is a perfect example of balance between good and bad.
As someone who has difficulty focusing for a long time, this anime should be (in theory) a hell for me to watch. This is not at all the case. The anime is so good it keeps me motivated to keep on watching and when I take breaks of the anime it's easy to get back into it.
I'm further in the manga than I am in the anime, ... but even though I know what's going to happen it still excites me.
My favourite things about the story is the worldbuilding and the characters.
I definitely recommend it. I do have to say don't feel pressured in finishing it quickly, do it in your tempo and make sure enjoy to it's fullest!
