I feel like I should preface my review by saying that I have never reviewed any anime before and as such, I do not feel qualified to judge the animation, art or any such technical aspects of Nami yo Kiitekure.
Instead, I want to share why this anime struck a special cord with me and why I think you should watch it.

One's twenties. More so than any other age in life, it's a time of transition. From student life, free from responsibilities to the life of a working professional, faced with the burdens of rent, food and the doldrums of the workplace. One's social ... environment also begins to change. You can no longer count on seeing your friends every day in school. Romantic relationships, obviously, change as well.
As a "young adult" thrust into society to fend for themselves, this transition can often be jarring and Nami yo Kiitekure attempts to portray one such story.
Through the 12 odd episodes, 26 year old Koda Minare deals with heartbreak, workplace conflict and her own inner demons all the while trying to find her purpose in life. Her behavior is rarely likable, but always relatable. Her unconventional journey of self-reflection through the medium of radio is unbelievably gripping.
She is helped along by a well written supporting cast who pick up after the tidal wave that is Minare, while dealing with their own struggles.
Romance is dealt with in a very mature, realistic fashion. If you've ever had a relationship go wrong, Minare's struggles will will make your heart ache in sympathy as she deals the with pain of an abrupt end to a relationship.
All the anger and grief and yet, a tiny speck of hope remains. It makes her incredibly human.

While the anime might not be for everyone, if you're a 20-something, drifting through through the stormy sea of life as an adult, you should absolutely give this a shot. Maybe it will help you embark on a reflective journey of your own as it certainly did for me.
