I read a lot of yaoi manga, and this is one of the best! It reads more like a Korean manwha with serious characters and themes, sad and upsetting twists and turns. Kind of reminds me of the excellent "Let Dai," though shorter and with no gang rape or suicide (thank goodness!). It might be because of the narration by the MC that reminds me of he brutally sad Let Dai.

I just rewatched the entire show in a matter of two days. I did so because someone asked me if I had seen it and wanted to know my opinion. I couldn't remember the story or if I liked it, so I decided to watch it again. That right there is a red flag, because I normally remember most anime I watch. I have read a lot of glowing reviews here about this anime and I find them shocking. Are you all crazy? Clannad after story has got to be the most boring anime I have ever seen (and I've watched A LOT of anime). Tomoyo and Nagisa are both really stupid main characters and there is NOTHING interesting about them. Nagisa's parents are funny but stupid too. Really, all the characters make me cringe. Also, the story is just sad, no joy in it whatsoever. I would recommend watching other anime from this group like Air or Kanon. Those are not that great either, but slightly
