The rising of the shield hero S01 was an amazing story that showed great detail to characters, stats and abilities, animation and the overall story...
That being said, season 2.

This season started off fine with a bit of a time jump, a few months to a year, and the village naofumi got was coming along nicely.
The show introduced some old and some new characters. Then the world's is ending.
In 6 EPs the world no longer is ending and a major new character dies, bet who cares considering we barely got introduced to them.

Then into a magic portal to the world where glass and her team came ... from. Oh but naofumi, ruftalia and friend are all level 1. So ruftalia is a kid again...

Meet a new character, naofumi's counter part. And off to the proper destination the go. If your wondering where filo is, they race to find her to then lose ruftalia. Off to save her this time. Oh wait but she gets a super magical sword and instantly becomes an adult again. Basically end of season, with glass and co as friends now and big bad dead.

The sad part about this season is it had so much potential, sadly they rushed it and crammed a seasons worth of info into 6eps and another season in 6 more EPs.
Barely any character arcs or building of the characters, so important moments fall massively short.

A knight is training people in naofumi's town, barely get to know her even though she is presented as an important person. The old lady adventurer is brought back, but no new info for her. Naofumi's new team member barely has much either. All I got was she is head over heels for bow hero. Then there's the tortoise lady, who you get a couple of plot key details of, but no real personal ones. So I can't figure why naofumi and team care for these people.
Next.
We went from great detail in to his shield, to no info at all. He gets a new shield pre ep 1 but we get no info about it. All we see is it's a blue shell.
Then the next one is from the tortoise, uses last ep only?!
Next.
What happened with the other 3 heroes in-between season? Their relationship with Naofumi after he was declared innocent? No info or answers. We see them twice. First they acted as per usual and left all the work to naofumi, next time they were unconscious as prisoners to the big bad.
There's many more issues in the story telling but if they added details and put as much care and dedication as they did for season 1. This would have been able to make 2 seasons of 12-15eps each maybe more.
Now season 3 is closing in and I'm wondering why I should bother. They didn't care about season 2 so whose to say they care about season 3 and why should I?
