I loved this series, with its insane characters and the insane powers. With the battle between Mages and Physics kept at bay, with a time of peace, the threat is once again is looming in the horizon. Toma, one of my favorite characters ever, is a unique character. He is attracts all the trouble the world can POSSIBLY throw at someone. The only problem that I saw, was that Toma became too adapted to this life style of fighting giants, and magic spells, and fighting amongst his fellow physics. They seemed to be trying to me make him into this all mighty image of a ... bad ass. Also, the ending of this season(or at least i hope season) was SUPER unsatisfying. Cliffhangers are fine, but leaving it in the middle of an arc is a big no. It like having a cliff with a thin canvas, The area looks safe to run along, but the ground collapses beneath....

This rebuild of the series has opened up a whole new door. The art in this is amazing, the story although not perfect, was still very good. The sound, was awe inducing as well. The characters were what you would come to expect from Evangelion. I enjoyed this anime more than you could possibly ever imagine. Not just the music, the story or the characters. just the sheer enjoyment I got out of watching angels destroy stuff and watching an Eva unit fight, it just make me hate to wait for the next DVD to come out.

This DVD included ep 1-6 all fully remastered and ... even more awesome than before. the next DVD release will definitely be a blast. The best shocker I've seen in years came after the credits. SO~ make sure to watch the entire credit sequence. It's well worth the wait. not only that, but you have to give the people their dues.
