The second season of Psycho Pass is downright awful. End of story.
I'd upload a decent analytical review, explaining why it is so horrible, but neither do I have the time, nor do I feel like putting in more effort than the actual writers did.
Awful recycled, messy, if not plainly nonsensical plot with some of the greatest asspulls since Mirai Nikki plus pointless lines of dialogues and characters whose creation ended with their design.
We're talking about writers here that literally tried to give a definitive answer to the omnipotence paradox. And in one or two sentences at that.
Just stay away if you want to keep the

overall positive experience of season one because pretty much everything that made it good left the building for this season.

How come people go all rampage when it's about GTO yet don't bother to read this Masterpiece of a Manga? Seriously, I don't even like Manga all that much, but this one was worth every second I've spent reading it.
This will be a rather short review because I usually tend to review stuff I hate, so I don't know what exactly to say when I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
The plot is, as you can guess, Onizuka's and Ryuuji's backstory, the lovabale delinquent-legends that no one would ever dare to mess with. They're feared by enemies, admired by their peers and were "kicked out
...
of school" for their brutal deeds. Or so they say in a letter they left behind, with the truth being these two wanting to polish their image for the sake of finally getting laid in a new school.
These two are just the best duo I've seen in a Manga. You probably already love Onizuka, and here you'll learn to love Ryuuji just as much as him, their friendship is touching (in a completely manly way of course...) and hilarious and you see these two grow into young adults...that basically stay the same idiots until the very end! (though Ryuuji does mature a little in GTO).
So, if you can overlook, or even love the old art style (which I do!), you will absolutely fall in love with the the action packed comedic genius of Shonan Junai Gumi!

So because my last Review was deleted due to 1: it being out too early and 2: too many (NEEDED) cure words, I'll try to put out another, because I've seen some positive reviews around and I will NOT ALLOW THIS TO STAND.
Beware of what is easily the absolute worst anime this year. Every "Absolute"-Pun from here on is unintended.
Imagine ANY generic harem Anime with super power.
Done?
Good. That's ALL you need to know about Absolute Duo. You just imagined EVERYTHING there is to it. It has a bland Protagonist with slapped on "tragic past" who's too cool for everything with a cast of big-boobed clones
...
in his harem.
There is absolutely (sorry) nothing more to it. Every character looks EXACTLY the same, the only differences being eye color, boob size and amout of ribbons in their hair. Not like there's going to be much difference in clothing, it obviously plays in high school again, the copy/paste plotsetting to every generic harem.
This Anime just oozes chuunibiyo author / audiece in every second.
Every character can also be summarized in one sentence or with one distinguish characteristic:
The Protagonist
The Big-Boobed shy one
The Tsundere
The Foreign Tsundere
The Family-heir
The one abandoned by her parents
The Bunny Teacher
The "Badass"-Loli (barely ever shows up, so no need to care)
All of those seem like a product of someone's mind who never actually spoke to actual people.
Not to mention all they ever talk is how awesome the protagonist is.
The Art is just as pathetic. Even the OPENING is inconsistant and choppy.
I want to stress this out: THE OPENING! Like literally the part that you have to anime ONCE for twelve episodes! The part that's like advertisement! And they fuck that up!
Anyways: Don't watch it. There's absolutely no reason to do so, unless you're 12 and this is your very first anime ever and I wish I could physically prevent you from watching it.

Whoever told you this is a good anime got you real good.
In fact, I can use this anime various times as an example to describe on what NOT to do in any form of storytelling.
Story: 6
The story is nothing to oustanding, pretty generic, but I am easily excited when it's abot Assassin's, so there's an extra point for that.
It's summed up pretty fast: Boy joins band of "assassin's" (hardly assassin's when they jump in screaming on every mission and say "eliminate!" every time, but that's the shounen influence for you) to kill the evil government.
That's it.

Art: 3
Few people caught it, but the art, specially in early episodes, was actually beyond horrible. The animation had weird skips and was choppy, and the fights barely consisted of more than 1 slash with a sword. I wouldn't have minded if they did it in an "assassiny" way (I'm sure that's not actually a word, but still) but no, the atmosphere was that of some big shounen fight, but with no real action.
Also (though it get's better after time) the anatomy of the women is actually quite bothersome, for me at least. Seriously, boobs are not that far up your chest!!!
Sound: 5
Can barely remember it. If it had been particularly good or bad, I would have remembered it, so here a "mediocre".
Character: absolutely pathetic (1)
Now this is where I have to try not to rant.
There are a few misconceptions about what is "deep" and "well written" nowadays. People think that merely having a large quantity of characters means the cast is diverse and they mistake having exactly one character trait for quality. Every character can be summed up in ONE WORD.
Shere: Airhead
Mine: Tsundere
Bulat: Kamina
Tatsumi: Simon
Esdeath: Sadist
Minister: Evil
And so on. This one word behind every character name pretty much gave away all there is to know about the character.
Also, having a "sad backstory" that in no way affects the storyline (except the one with the evil sister that's an enemy) is not deep!
If you want to give your characters a sad backstory, fine, but make sure it shapes them! Make sure that specific event influences how and why the character acts, and make sure it can't be swapped out for any other sad back story.
All in all the characters all were incredibly uninteresting, and the only reason
they are so numerous to begin with is so the writers can kill of and have the people go "omg they killed a main character, no one is saaaaafe~~"
Seriously, I feel like I am watching an anime GoT parody.
It's not even like any of them are unexpected, the death flags given are so shamelessly obvious, I was more surprised if someone actually didn't die.
So yeah, it's not like any death comes as a surprise, and it's not like you actually miss any of the characters.
Everytime they reveal their "sad past" to the Protagonist (Tatsumi) again, they might as well be saying: "Yo, kid imma ded next episode."
Also, the Minister, who is supposed to be the main antagonist, is a joke. He's pretty much the standart villain you know from kid's show who wants to dominate the world for the sake of doing it. He's not even really a character, he's pretty much a parody of an archtype.
Never forget, if your antagonist is plain and stupid, your protagonists will lose their depht as well.
Enjoyment: 5
Despite my ranting, I DID enjoy it for a few episodes, but you kind of understand what the end is going to look like fairly early in the game so it get's really boring.
Overall: 3
What is there to say? It's pretty horrible. Awful character, bad art, choppy animation. Character deaths occur purely for shock value. The first one might catch you by surprise (though to me even that one was pretty obvious)
but that's about it.
No need to waste your time on that, but if you got time to spare....you should probably still just watch FMA or something.
