Preliminary (5/20 eps)
Don't judge it by the first episode (in fact, don't even watch the first episode). For some godforsaken reason, they decided to use one of the later side stories as the introduction, and it's incredibly cringe and not funny without context. Episode 2 also looks a bit more like the sort of thing the series is supposed to be making fun of than an actual comedy. It's only at episode 3 where it finally starts to properly gain the spirit of the original novel, which is a beautiful parody about this psychopathic OP chuuni idiot who will do absolutely anything to LARP out his shadow ...

Preliminary (31/? chp)
Overall: 8/10

It's a fantastic mindless revenge manga. It has no depth or meaningful story or anything, but that's fine. If you're going to like this, it's probably not for those reasons anyway. There's lots of revenge and it's highly satisfying. No neckbeard BS either.

Character: 6.5/10

The hero is a nutcase and both he and the author know it. The villains are ridiculously evil to the point where you feel they actually deserve what's coming to them (which would otherwise be incredibly excessive). It's very satisfying to watch him f*ck them up in messed up ways. Not exactly the height of good writing, but quite fun.

Enjoyment: 9/10

Normally I'm the sort of person who likes to turn off my brain and read trash, but this series is an exception. I think this might legitimately be the most interesting take on an OP protagonist I've ever seen. It's entertainingly funny near the start (although some of the gags have some deeper undertones that are only apparent when you think back on them after reading more) and it picks up more dramatic momentum as the story progresses. I've reread it several times, and would definitely recommend picking it up and reading it until the end.

Characters: 10/10

What makes it so fantastic are the characters ...

Trope-loaded isekai revenge manga done very well. It doesn't really have any shocking deviations from the standard, but it doesn't have anything annoying about it either.

There is no annoying forgiveness of a girl because she's hot, no annoying harem, no giving up on revenge due to being a wimp, no protagonist running around raping people and buying slaves because nobody can stand him, none of that bullshit. It's just good, solid, revenge.

Characters are consistent, and while it doesn't go super-deep, they all work. Story also works. Art is quite good. This is all the good things in isekai without the typical things that ruin ...

Bleach (Manga) add
Bleach has always been one of the most infuriating mangas for me. The first 20 volumes are a solid 10/10. The art style starts out more rough, but very beautiful. I think early Bleach is easily one of the most gorgeous mangas I have ever read (especially the colour pages). The story is simple, but good, and the characters are interesting and unique. Combined with the beauty of the art, it is emotionally moving.

Then, there are another 20 volumes of decreasing quality, where the story slowly gets repetitive and the characters start to degrade. Orihime, for example, goes from a girl who is enthusiastic ...
