Spoiler free review, happy reading!
This was a rare case with anime for me. I normally always want to finish an anime as fast as I can when it is very good like this. This was the first time I stopped watching an anime 4 episodes before the end, not because I didn't want to watch it, but because I didn't want it to end. In my mind if I didn't end the series, it would go on longer, even though the amount of content wouldn't change. I'll come back to this later in the enjoyment section, so keep this in mind.
Story: 8.7
This story is actually
...
done quite a lot. The misfit band of kids that don't fit in anywhere are all shoved together for comedy and romance to ensue. They all have skills that compliment what they want to do. Manga and drawing, anime-making, story board creating, among other things. What makes this story better, however, is how the main characters don't always win. Because of this, it can be much more stressful to the audience, because no matter how much you get into Fairy Tail, or Naruto, or Dragonball, you never get stressed out about the characters, because you know they will win in the end. This anime takes that away, which is a thing that few anime I've seen do.
Another thing is that this anime feels fast, but not fast as in rushed, fast as in you watch an episode, and lose track of time and feel like its gone on longer than it has. This anime does things in 4 episodes what takes other romance anime 12. Not only does this strengthen how much the audience likes the characters, but it keeps the story arcs fresh.
Art: 7.3
The art style is rather average in terms of character design and such, what gives this a better score are two things. The lesser part, is the paintings, because they really are beautiful, not much else to say aside from that. The second thing is the use of the different colors. The anime is very bright and happy most of the time, but when sadness hits, the colors get a bit darker and lose radiance. While this is a very subtle thing that I only realized much later into the series, I still appreciate it.
Sound: 6.5
The sound track is very average throughout most of the show. Not many tracks stand out. The two openings I enjoyed, the second one being the superior, with the endings decent, but not the best.
Characters: 8.7
In almost every anime, there will be one character you just can't stand. I never actually had a character like that in this one. I loved all the characters, and almost all of them gave me funny lines to quote, and some inside jokes that only people who watch the anime will get (Plan C). I also had so many ships to root for, I enjoyed every character's screen time.
Enjoyment: 9.5
Now here's where I come back to the intro part. As I said, I stopped watching so it would feel as if the series went on longer, and it was the first time I did so. Does that mean I enjoyed this more than any other anime? No, it doesn't. To me, that is just below having a NEED to watch the next episode, which has only really happened with one or two other anime. However, I will give this anime props, I actually shed a tear. Literally, a single tear. This is a huge accomplishment for any anime to do, as I didn't cry during Clannad, or Clannad Afterstory. The reason behind this is that if I know a series is going to be sad, I don't attach myself to the characters. Because I didn't know that this anime would be sad, I got attached to them, and by the time I realized that I was attached, it was too late.
Boy am I glad I didn't know beforehand.
Overall: 9.6
As I am against giving any anime a perfect score, I don't ACTUALLY give this anime a 10, I just round up or down depending on what the decimal says.
I started this anime maybe 3-4 weeks before ending it. I just didn't want it to end. However, I am finally glad that I did, because it goes against my rules of anime to put an anime I have not finished on my top 10 anime list. This anime was a very good romance story. Any fan of school romances should find it to their liking.
If you don't like it, that's fine. Just don't blame me when I initiate "Plan C" on you.

I never really expected any anime to be THIS good.
As a self-proclaimed otaku, I've had a lot of trouble rating all the anime I've seen (62 according to this site, though that includes sequels) and I'm sure I'm not alone when saying that I've had a lot of trouble rating all the anime I've seen. I mostly just rate them on "good" or "decent" or "meh". However, this one is now easily my favorite anime of all time. First off, the MC is a very good break from the classic, goody two-shoes gentlemen who all the women throw themselves at him from day 1. In
...
fact, he's quite the opposite. He's a delinquent, who basically everyone stays away from. Good change of pace.
As I stated, not all the girls are throwing themselves at him. Sure, it is a harem anime, so a small amount of stuff with most of the girls is to be expected, but not like "OMG I LUV U LETS HAV SEX XOXO". It seems like most of the relationships stay pretty basic, as friend or upper class man.
The animation is very nice, from bigger scenes to smaller details (for instance a small line of saliva after a kiss). The music is on its own level entirely, I could write many sentences on the opening alone.
So I will. (Feel free to skip this part if you don't care much about the opening song)
The intro is soft from the piano and I think violin? However it gets more fast paced about half way through the intro, but not TOO fast like a rock song, but it can still work in the drums in for a beat very nicely. The voice singing sounds very calming, but not enough to put you to sleep, especially with the beat that isn't too slow, and isn't too fast. The animation that goes with it is very nice as well, with a slightly lighter tint, and showing basically just the main characters, with witch floppy hats (though the anime is notably missing any floppy witch hats).
Back to the main review.
The supporting cast is very nice as well, and they all have a main characteristic with them, that kinda defines them. For example, there's the pervert, the bookworm, and the liar (or as I prefer to call her, the conspiracy theorist), to try and not give away to much about them. Other than those main ones, the others do have things about them, but that's a bit more spoiler like, and I'm writing this assuming that this is the first you are reading of this anime, so I won't go into that.
One thing that isn't really a complaint, just something to note, is that while the anime is tagged with "Ecchi", the anime shouldn't really be categorized as such. The most that's really shown are a few bra and pantie shots and one spa scene, but that's about it. There is a lot of kissing, but, its just kissing. I've watched even a NON ECCHI that showed more (Mirai Nikki, very good anime if you haven't seen it), but as someone who isn't off fapping to anime in my bed to ecchi's, I'm completely fine with that.
All in all, this is a wonderful anime, and I highly recommend you check it out!
