I decided to venture into an anime that’s been popping up on my watchlist for a while, hoping to find an underrated gem… which is not quite what I got.
Plot: The first few episodes actually pulled me into the story and I quite enjoyed the world setting that was being laid out, however while I hoped this would lead to further world development, a deeper understanding of the the characters’ abilities and their reason for being, we ended up getting none of that. What we did get is a “lets leave it up to the viewer’s imagination” ending that made me scratch my

head and a number of lack luster episodes during the middle that could have been used for much needed world building and character development.
Characters: While the story centres around Sumire and Lucia, we never see real development and their relationship is platonic. But the real disappointment is the supporting cast and side characters, who hardly get any limelight or backstory and for the most part, just fills the role of side villain no 1 or cute sidekick and just floats around in the background during the main story. Really a missed opportunity in my view.
Art/visuals: The visuals were pretty decent throughout, with some of the fight scenes being pretty well animated and I found this arguably the most enjoyable part.
Music/score: While the opening was quite catchy and memorable, not much else could be said for the remaining score within this series and tends to fall within the range of being somewhat forgettable.
Overall: A very disappointing, rushed story, that suffered from weak world building and missed opportunities and if I use my imagination I think it had an ending??
Score = 4/10
