This is more of a comparison to its parent story Strike Witches.
This anime is very similar to Strike witches and when I say similar, I mean very similar.
Character development and story progression were almost exactly the same with a few minor changes.
Art is similar to Strike witches despite being made by different studios. There are hints of 3D-CGI that slightly throw things off when it appears.
Animation here is an improvement, battles are no longer (how do i say this without spoiling/summarizing part of it) linear. Fight scenes are slightly more inspired is all i can really say without giving too much away.

Amazing movie. I love Godzilla movies and I love Sci-fi and mecha.
Overall: 8 This is great in terms of a movie but since it is a movie things will be rushed. I feel that this would've been better split into episodes. But everything felt really rushed. The story progressed way too fast to be really enjoyable. If this were made episodically then I'm sure the rushed feeling wouldn't be there but would throw something off. If it were made into a series of movies like the Break Blade series then there would be enough time for everything without the feeling of being rushed. Story: 7 I believe there ...

In all honesty, I have mixed feelings about this anime. I didn't mind the CGI since I started watching it for the furries. There are only a few good things and one bad thing that I find about this anime that won't be considered spoilers.
The one bad thing was the timing in the animations. It was very noticeable in the first episode and after that was becoming less and less pronounced. The pause-for-effect, dialogue moments were poorly timed and were too long. The good things would be it's also slightly educational and the amount of attention the character's story by the creators.
