Ok so, the big controversy about this anime is the age gap. Everyone is making a big fuss about it, but I won't get into any of that in this review. I am personally ok with such age gaps and rather enjoy them even; if you're not and are absolutely convinced that it is not ok, just skip over this anime.

If you're a yaoi veteran.. prepare to be disappointed
I, like many fujoshis/fudanshis, am pretty ecstatic about the recent boost in the making of yaoi animes (it's about time, amirite) so if you've been a yaoi fan for a long time, read a lot of manga, saw all the classic yaoi animes .. just know this is nothing like them. I can see that it is a clear attempt to beeee like them, but not really. the story can be pulled from anyone's ass and the sex scenes are, well, I can only describe them as being animated by virgins. anyway the only case I'd recommend this anime ...

I can't believe this OVA doesn't have a review yet!
Oh well I guess I'll be the first. I'm predominantly writing this review just to get the word out there about this OVA. Are you a female? frustrated about how ecchi in anime almost always favors the male audience (like 95% of the time!)? over-sized boobs and annoying random female characters (That don't even act like an actual female!) everywhere? not to mention the random yuri that pops up from time to time =.=' Well fear not!! hope is not all lost in the ecchi category that it is directed towards the female population!! because let's be honest, ...

Mujihi na Anata, The sequel to Mujihi na Otoko is a very attractive and compelling story ..
Even though there wasn't much action in the Prequel Mujihi na Otoko, Mujihi na Anata includes a more "vicious" approach from the semee to the uke. Aikawa Kuon, The Semee, gets more possessive and more "tenacious" of his partner. Shirahane Nanao, the uke, has his past scars revealed. The Story is very Catchy, Nanao, who has always been on top is now being pushed below by the ferocious Kuon who seems to have this hunger for Nanao. An 8 for the story. The art was amazing, as expected from Sakuraga Sensei, ...

"Koi Ja nai kedo" is the sequel of "Kirai ja nai kedo" and I have to admit the story gets more interesting and entertaining by the volume .. iie, by the chapter!
I absolutely loved reading Koi Ja nai kedo and I would recommend the series in general to any yaoi or shounen ai lover .. The only bad thing I found about this series is the arrangement of events ... sometimes it felt like I had absolutely no idea what the hell was going on but then I'd catch up. It definitely needs editing in that criteria but other than that I really enjoyed reading ... |
