Don't be fooled by the beginning of this series. As you continue onward throughout the first thirteen episodes, you'll find the flashes of brilliance that made this anime one of the best of Summer 2012.
Story [8/10]
The anime covers the various volumes of the source light novel. From my eyes, it has it's own uniqueness with a backdrop of familiar archetypes. Many will enjoy the romantic drama that is just one of the many points throughout the plot. Others will enjoy the early hilarity, or maybe the later seriousness. For sure, this anime combines lightheartedness and seriousness. One scene you'll be laughing; the next, you'll be
...
crying. (sometimes)
Art [7/10]
The art has been what I expected. It's not going to make my eyes go crazy nor will it annoy me to the point that I hate it. The characters were designed by the same person who did K-ON! so you'll see some similarities. I suggest you don't let that affect your view on the series.
Sound [8/10]
All the OPs and EDs are great. (however, I'm sure some will disagree) The transitions between actual ending of the ep and the PV for the next episode are spine chilling. I really liked that aspect and I'm sure it'll contribute to others liking it as well.
Enjoyment [9/10]
While the series was airing, I was always waiting anxiously for the next episode. It's a real trip, Kokoro Connect. I'm sure many of you will enjoy it.
Overall [8/10]
I believe the studio took a small, unknown series and blew it up to a very high standing in the eyes of viewers all over the world. It was fun to watch and I anxiously await the next episodes in March.
