The main character evolves to not needed glasses. There is a teamwork aspect where two individuals share a body. There are aliens involved. The forest scenes are reminiscent of each other. Allies and enemies are found throughout the series. Graphic violence ensues and the main character has to make choices based on morality and protecting others. Both series also have scenes of body horror. They both have similar vibes.
