Dude I got to say I found your comment very fascinating. I wasn't aware of how things were in the Middle East, but after reading your reply I totally get it now. I had no idea that American cartoons weren't very popular in that area, and that Japanese animation was. You being a big Captain Tsubasa fan totally makes sense now. So you got me curious, when it comes to anime being sexualized commonly, was there any kind of censorship in the Middle East back then for certain series? And if so which? Because I can tell you here in America there certainly was, especially in the late 90s and early 2000s. High five! It's always a pleasure to meet someone else who has watched Superbook and Flying House, still have fond memories of those shows, they take me back to my childhood. Anyway as I was mentioning on the Syfy channel they had a block on Saturday mornings in the early 90s called Ani-Saturday. It was around this era that I learned what anime was. The fact that most of the credit sequences featured j-pop vocals was a dead giveaway for me. God bless you too man, it's a pleasure talking with you! 🤗
That's actually really interesting. Especially since one of your first anime were Captain Tsubasa. I don't hear of many people knowing about that series, let alone it being one of their first anime. Where did you watch it at? As for me I've actually been watching anime since the mid 80s. There were two series airing when I was very young called Superbook and Flying House. Then later on in the early days of Nickelodeon, they use to air a show called Grimm's Fairy Tale Adventures, which actually ended up being my third anime. At the time I had no idea they were not made here in the United States where I live. Then once I got the SciFi channel I slowly started to understand what anime was.
I made zero decision, i dont want to do heroin while its mostly cut with fentanyl, drugs are getting scary out there and people are being less safe and less safe.
