The beginning of the first chapter was practically identical to Kamisama no Iutoori in regards to the school setting and the main character feeling the boredom of life and hoping for something exciting.....and then the teacher explodes and almost everyone in the classroom follow the same fate. However, it doesn't have that zombie aspect and end of the world apocalypse feeling to it that M.S.o.t.E does. Another point of similarity is that they don't camouflage the blood. The story had a lot in common after I read the first chapter, but the differing drawing styles has an effect on my perception of the seriousness of the situation. If you got hooked on half of the first chapter of Mahou Shoujou of the end, then you can expect the same for Kamisama no iutoori.
