Wonderfully heartfelt 11 episode series about 30-something year old Daikichi who (along with the rest of his family) discovers his grandfather had an affair and a child out of wedlock before he died.
When no one else in the family is willing to step up to the plate after the girls mother disappears Daikichi eventually takes in 6 year old Rin.
Both characters blossom because of the relationship. Daikichi is a wonderful parent and Rin is a great kid.
I def wish there was more then 11 episodes to the anime series but since it's based on a manga that was released in Japan from from October 2005
