Wotaku and Osake both revolve around working adults and how they interact in private. In Wotaku, the MCs are connected by their love for gaming and anime. In Osake, the husband and wife are connected by their passion for alcoholic beverages. The tone of these two anime are not the same but they do feel similar. They both deal with adult situations and relationships without really delving into the usual ecchi territory. Even though there is some typical charactization tropes and suggestions, there is a sense of maturity to their interactions.
