In both there's a female lead, who unexpectedly has to become a leader. The settings are alike as well, a kind of fantasy version of Japan, that is seperated in several kingdoms, where all is not well. They both meet many people during their journey, some friends, some foes.

If you liked Shoujo Kakumei Utena add

...then you might like Legend of Basara add

Sarasa and Utena are brave girls who lost their families at a young age and now have to start a revolution. Both are fighters who dress up as boys.

If you liked Seirei no Moribito add

...then you might like Mugen no Juunin add

Both anime have a capable warrior becoming a bodyguard of a youth. They are both set in a historical setting (old Japan for Blade, and a fantasy world that does have a lot in common with old Japan for Seirei). There are some good fighting scenes in both anime and the villains get character-development as well.

If you liked Seirei no Moribito add

...then you might like Miyori no Mori add

I don't make this recommendation because the stories or characters in these two anime are alike, because they aren't. However, anyone who liked the beautiful, eastern landscapes and forests of one of these titles, will enjoy watching that of the other. It's obvious that quite a lot of effort was put in creating these settings and making them look appealing. The existence of spirits is taken for granted in both these series also, which goes well with the forest-theme.

...then you might like Shion no Ou add

Both Shion and Utena are girls who are competing in a game that by some is seen to be intended for only men. They, and other female competitors, deal with a lot of prejudice. Partly because of this both series have someone cross-dressing. Characters are well developed and might not be who they seem at first. The duels and shochi-matches play an important part in these series, and during these matches the personalities of the characters are further developed. Also, interestingly enough, there's not just the competition around which everything resolves, but a mystery to be solved. Both Shion and Utena had a traumatic experience when their parents died, and can't remember everything that happened. In these series the viewer will be wondering who was involved and why.
