It's an excellent show, but I didn't care for the open end as it felt incomplete and lacked closure. It felt like the best part was being kept from the viewer and I guess I felt cheated. That being said, the anime has great character development all around, from the McDougal brothers to Gene scrounging for money. The characters have more personality than I do. The animation and sound are of a level that we don't see very often these days. This was one of my favorite shows back when it aired on TV and certainly deserves honorable mentions when
