Quite right I suppose, but it also depends on what you're reviewing I suppose.
Some anime which has 50+ episodes will obviously need a long review because viewers are gonna invest a considerable amount of time into it, so they should clearly know what they're in for.
On the other hand, one shots are 5 minute reads, so small reviews can do for them. It all depends on what you're trying to get across to the viewer I guess. I just noticed I was getting too many thumbs down if I wrote short n sweet ones even for one shots. I guess I pandered and went into more details. Plus, in manga one shots, there inst really any thing such as spoilers, everyone knows whats gonna happen. So its more like you play up the appealing features is something really appealed to you.
