Just from the title of the anime, we can see that this anime is highly abstract. But perhaps, it was too abstract. While this anime is good at creating questions, it never really answers them.
There exists another dimension (for lack of a better term) called the "financial district" where people get to battle for money - at the expense of their future. While an interesting and original concept, the anime fails to account for all of its key plot devices.

assets fight physically? It totally defies the point of calling this the financial district. Other than randomly using fancy terms such as mergers and acquisitions, there is absolutely nothing financial about this anime. Having a keen interest in finance, I am deeply dissappointed by the lack of effort to expand on this concept.
Assets. The embodiment of one's future. Another interesting concept, but again, failed to be developped fully. Why are assets the way they are? The only one that was vaguely explained was Mikuni's asset. None of the other ones made sense.
Collapse. The main cause of conflict in this story was that an influx of midas money is destroying the economy, driving down stocks. Yet the anime does not explain why this happens; with such an influx of money, it would be much more likely to result in a hyperinflation.
Morals and ideals. Perhaps the anime would've been a masterpiece even if the above were less than perfect; however, even the most basic part of a story; its morals were not clearly told. None of the main characters had a good result; who was right? Is it really as the clown says, that everyone is striving for good and making the world better? But why then, is the futue disappearing?
In the end, this anime fails to deliver in every single way. It managed to ruin such a promising setting, such a promising idea for a story. Instead of presenting it's philosophical ideas as is, the story is dumbed down with yugioh like battles and unrealistic depictions of the effects of financial disturbances. One finishes this anime with a sense of confusion; nothing in the anime is answered, and no moral value is presented.
I do not recommend this anime; however, I am giving it a 7 because of the ideas that could've been; perhaps this anime is best left for us to imagine an ending; to imagine what sort of a future this anime would've had.

As the person who wrote the recommendation for bartender so cleverly recognized, this anime is not really about sports or baseball. Baseball is simply the medium in which the main message is conveyed.
The plot of the story: "What happens when you apply business management strategies to baseball"? A normal highschool girl who wants to help her friend achieve the dream of taking their baseball team to the koshien picks up a book on management, and uses its principles to managing the team.
Unlike other anime that draws excitement from having one or more "godly" protagonists who are somehow able to always pull through by

luck or some mystical force, Moshidora focuses on real principles that can really be applied in real life, with characters that don't have any special abilities other than hard work.
This anime is unique in that one looks not towards the ending of the anime, but the process. While the viewer is curious whether the team made it to the koshien, it is not the most important part of the anime; what is important is how everyone changed and improved by living with the principles of "Management". Indeed, the principles of "Management" not only changed their baseball team, but also their perspectives on life.
As explained in episode three, a key concept in "Management" is to allow the consumers to understand professional jargon; this anime does this perfectly. It explains principles in business in a simple and light manner by expressing it through anime.
If you're looking for a dramatic sports drama, this may not be for you. But this anime is wonderful in that it is not only pleasant, it also teaches valuable principles that everyone should apply in their lives.

As I sit here writing this review, my heart is split in two; should I write a favorable review? Or not?
This anime is one of the first I've encountered; in fact, some of my earliest memories involves this anime. I remember the days I used to stroll through the flee markets with my mom, looking at toy race cars, wanting one but never having enough money. It definitely will have its place in my heart forever.
That said, I wouldn't recommend this anime to everyone. It isn't a great anime, something everyone would enjoy. It's more of a kids' anime. The themes and storyline is

simple and repetitive, easy for kids to understand. Yet it doesn't lose its excitement (from a child's perspective), though all 100+ episodes are basically the same (including the other seasons). Perhaps teens would think that this anime is too predictable or childish, but as a child, I really truly enjoyed it. Unfortunately, I assume not many children under 12 are viewing this forum.
In the end, I am writing this review because I want people to know about this anime, as it has shaped parts of my childhood; at the same time, I know that it won't do the same for you, especially if you live in North America (I've not seen one toy racecar here...).

I've been watching anime for a while, having watched over 50 series, and at least 10-20 OVA/Movies.
This is the anime that finally made me decide to create an account here and share my thoughts. I was going to sum this up in one word, but I realized that no single word in the English language does this piece justice.
Since if you're looking at this page, I'll assume that you will have some idea of what the story is about, and that you're into this genre. In that case, to make it short, this is absolutely worth watching.

Having only watched the first episode, I find this show quite promising. In fact, I can honestly say that it is the best first episode I've ever seen. Even masterpieces such as clannad and elfen lied did not contain so much emotions in one episode. This first episode is at least as good as the first episode of five centimeters per second, and considering that it's a whole series and not a movie or OVA, that is quite impressive.
I know a couple of people who are not used to this kid of a character design, but if you're one of those people, you'll get used to it, and the background is quite good.
My only concern, is that such an impressive first episode might bring too much of an expectation for a great ending, which seems quite hard considering how fast paced the first episode is. I hope this series doesn't lag on for 20+ episodes, it doesn't seem to have enough material to fill in that much. If this series nails the ending at say 12 episodes, it may just become my all time favorite, and one of the best animes of all time.
