...then you might like Viewtiful Joe add

Luffy and Joe are similar in a few ways. They're really strong, have a lot a cool tricks up there sleeves, protect their friends, and are really funny. With both Luffy and Joe, when I first started watching they both came off as annoying but i grew to love 'em both. Other than that VJ and OP both have great action scenes and a decent plot.

...then you might like Ueki no Housoku add

Ueki and Luffy are so similar with their friendship, morals, and whatnot that whenever I watch Law of Ueki it reminds me of One Piece and vice-versa. Also, they have a concept with the superpowers and they vary between each character..One Piece has the Devil Fruit users and Law of Ueki has Power Users.

...then you might like Toriko add

These two shows have pretty noticeable similarities. For one thing, Luffy and Toriko are practically the same. Both have excellent fighting skills, protect their nakama, unending appetites, ect. The other big similarity is that these shows both mainly focus on the adventures the characters take and the places they go. For that reason, both shows feature fun adventures with unique settings. They're both pretty enjoyable so give 'em a try.

...then you might like Katanagatari add

The concept is kind of the same in both anime—the main character is strong and puts his life on the line to protect the main heroine who happens to be pretty much weak and useless. There's also the same type of romance—the heroine is in love with the main character who feels the same way but doesn't express it properly due to his inexperience which usually makes for a funny scene.

...then you might like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood add

One of my favorite aspects of both shows are their main characters. Both Edward and Sagara are really cool main characters who fight to protect their friends. They are both serious when they need to be, sometimes unintentionally really funny, and of course very skillful in battle. The main female protagonists in both shows, Winry(FMA) and Chidori(FMP), are also very interesting and fun characters who I enjoyed. Both shows have a great balance of action-packed fights and comedic relief. They are somewhat military based animes but more especially in FMA. Another thing I liked was that they both had a cool sci-fi feel to them that added to the fun I had watching both shows. All-in-all both are great animes that you should definitely watch because you will surely enjoy them.
