Taishou Otome Otogibanashi: Pessimist no Shokutaku

Did you finish the main Taishou Otome Otogibanashi manga and feel *hungry* for more? Look no further, because this manga is a spin-off that focuses on the many foods Yuzuki makes for Tamahiko. It's similar to "Today's Menu for the Emiya Family," the only difference being that this spin-off is much more directly connected to the main work. Each chapter takes place in between chapters of the main manga, so the developments in the main story are reflected well even in this spin-off. I believe this is a must-read for those who enjoyed the main Taishou Otome story.

Little Witch's Collier

I enjoyed this manga a lot. It's equal parts wholesome and emotionally touching. The way the characters interact with each other all felt very natural to me. Some might say the story veers a bit too much from the main focus of Lulu and Camillo's interactions, but I believe it helps to make the world they live in that much more alive. It may be a comedic slice-of-life with hints of romance, but there are also layered moments that feel extra meaningful. (Camillo has some of the best lines because of this)

I hope more people give this a read. It'd be a shame ... if there were only 2 (at the time of me writing this) reviews to go off of for this manga.

Just finished it, and boy what a doozy that ending was.

I rated this manga as an 8, but tbh that doesn't mean much since I much prefer to rate things on a "should you watch/read" type of deal, so the number can be disregarded. Should you read this manga? Sure, I enjoyed it. Here's why.

This manga feels fresh and presents a lot of new concepts other sci-fi stories rarely touch upon. One of the main reasons I feel like some people might be turned off by this work would be how the "science" in this manga is presented and explained. Iwahara-san's thoughts in this manga's ... afterword definitely sum up my feelings regarding the story of this manga pretty solidly. None of the "science" presented in this manga can be described as conventional. Yet somehow he managed to keep continuity intact by embracing the vagueness of a type of science that no one in real life would be able to understand. I could say it all exists within a *possibility* of "probably being real but also can be fake." In other words, despite initially presenting a world governed by seemingly futuristic laws of quantum theory, this sci-fi work is definitely more "fiction" than "science." It would be best to go into this manga with that kind of mindset.

The characters are not what I would call this manga's strong point, but they are far from boring. They all serve some kind of purpose and I feel like there's no one who really feels like they don't belong.

The art isn't overly detailed, but it makes up for it with an extensive level of polish. Even if the story might not make sense at times, at least you can easily tell what's happening in each panel.

Overall, I feel like this manga is a mixed bag of great ideas, and ideas that aren't perfect but still work out somehow. If you are looking for a change of pace in manga, then I think Dimension W is a solid place to start. I'd even go as far as to say even a newcomer to manga can pick this up, since I feel like anyone with an open mind can get into this.
