...then you might like Hunter x Hunter (2011) add

The plot lines of HxH and YYH are very similar. The first arc in HxH has the hunter exam where the main characters learn to use their power and get stronger slowly. In the first arc of YYH we get to know the characters and they go through tests and missions together. In both cases the second arc is a tournament arc. In YYH is the Dark Tournament and in HxH is the Heavens arena. The last arc of both is an election arc. In HxH, elections are held in order to elect the new Hunter Chairman. In YYH they choose a new king for the demon world. Both were written by the same person. The main characters in both are very similar. I personally prefer YYH because I think the plot and the characters there are better and have with more depth but I also recommend HxH.

If you liked Hajime no Ippo add

...then you might like Yuu☆Yuu☆Hakusho add

Both YYH and HNI have action but sometimes they are a slice of life. They both have a vibe of the 90's. What both series do very well is the characters. The characters in both are very developed and have a lot of depth, you connect to each and every one of the characters and find out about their past and their story. That is what makes the series more realistic and deeper, I like both.

...then you might like Ansatsu Kyoushitsu add

The main character in both is a teacher who teaches a problematic class. In the case of Onizuka, the class tries to get him fired from the school and in the case of koro Sensei, the class tries to kill him so he won't destroy Earth. Onizuka and Koro Sensei are very similar, both very strong, perverted and charismatic. Both teaches their students important life lessons that not every regular teacher teaches. The students learn to appreciate their teacher and slowly become attached to him. Both are amazing animes to me, especially GTO which is very unique and there is no other anime like it, highly recommend.

...then you might like Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin add

-Both have a very similar plot line -Both have a main character who is called "bro" and he is the character who inspires everyone. The main character is the leader and all the other characters follow him. -In both Gurren Lagann and Rainbow the main characters try to get out of where they live in order to live in a better place and get out of their difficult life routine. -In both cases something happens to the main character that causes a crisis to the other characters, but in both cases the characters get stronger and move on in order to achieve the desired goal. -Both deal with the power and the desire to succeed in achieving a goal and believing in each other. After they achieve their goal, they still encounter difficulties but the characters solve the difficulties together. -Gurren Lagann has more action and science fiction while Rainbow is more realistic with less action.

If you liked Hajime no Ippo add

...then you might like Ashita no Joe add

Ashita no Joe is a very old anime about boxing. If you watched Hajime no Ippo and liked the world of boxing, you probably gonna like ashita no joe that has the same elements. Ashita no Joe is maybe less light and funny than Ippo but the story and the characters are good as much as in Ippo. I highly recommend it for people that aren't afraid from an old art.

-Both anime are western -Both came out in the same time- Cowboy bebop came out only 2 days after Trigun -Both anime have a skilled protagonist -Cowboy Bebop protagonist is a bounty hunter and Trigun protagonist is a man wirh a bounty on his head -Both anime are episodic but the plot and the characters are well develloped during the anime -All episodes on both Trigun and Cowboy Bebbop has a unique plot that makes the anime better -Both anime going deep inside the past of the protagonist and both carry their past and thier suffer for a long time -Both anime are in my top 5 and i highly recommend you to watch them both In conclusion, if you are fans of 90's anime and Cowboy bebop I recommend you to watch Trigun you won't get disappointed!!!!
