First off, I'd like to mention that just like most if not all the people who have watched Asobi Asobase without knowing about it at first got COMPLETELY jebaited by the OP. I thought I was in for a pretty "normal" slice of life/school anime. I have NEVER been more glad to be wrong in my entire life. This anime is on the "extreme" end of the spectrum of "slice of life" and "normal," and that's why everyone loves it.
The artwork is so diverse and compliments the "skits" perfectly. The sound design is amazing (shoutouts to Hina Kino espescially!). Characters follows three idiots, but

I was fortunate enough to have Azumanga Daioh be my first slice of life anime I've ever watched. The kicker? I watched it over a decade past its original release date. So when it comes to my scoring of it's art and sound design, I've adjusted accordingly.
Everything about this anime is hilarious and adorable. The characters are all pretty unique, they each have their own archetype forming a diverse, yet cohesive group.
