It was a signature blade for the shadow walkers or shades.
It gives the wielder the ability to conceal his or her presence and damage taken by this blade renders the foe unconscious.
The extent of this ability will depend upon the power of the wielder.

I already know some deep theme anime but surprise me anyway ;)
for example the world building in it it just doesn't make sense but then again anime doesn't make sence either but I dunno, it has a few fanboy moments for me but other than that I just wanna keep complaining about it and Kepp comparing it with other great anime and manga like HxH and One punch man and how they were similar but they were so so so much better.
