Just rewatched both of these deep masterpieces. They are very similiar, only the presentation for the purpose of the watchers can be interpreted differently. But when you ask yourself how sourrounded hate can feel and which consequences they have, both Anime can show you it perfectly of their special way. While Shiki presents the development of those involved, Elfenlied tries to give the watchers an understanding of the emotional consequences of all different matters of every caracter.
