Story
9/10
Haruhi Fujioka is a scholarship student at the prestigious Ouran Academy, a fictitious high school located in Bunkyo, Tokyo. Looking for a quiet place to study, Haruhi stumbles upon the Third Music Room, a place where the Ouran Academy Host Club, a group of six male students, gathers to entertain female "clients". During their first meeting, Haruhi accidentally knocks over and breaks an antique vase valued at ¥8,000,000 (US$80,000 in the U.S. English manga)[1] and is told to repay the cost in service to the club. Haruhi's short hair, slouching attire and gender-ambiguous face cause her to be mistaken by the hosts for
...
a male student. The hosts all agree that Haruhi would be a good host, thus making her join the host club. Ultimately she agrees to join the Club as a host herself (dressed as a male) in order to pay off her debt.[2] She agrees to join since she does not mind hosting as long as she can pay the debt off faster. The hosts do later find out that she is, in fact, a girl. They keep this a secret, so no one will be able to tell. The Ouran Private Academy encompasses kindergarten to twelfth grade (along with a university). Most students come from wealthy families, but in special cases, merit scholarships are granted to exceptional students from a lower income bracket. The school's unofficial motto is "Lineage counts first, wealth a close second," meaning students with stellar family backgrounds but low socioeconomic status may be given top priority over those from rich families with lesser pedigrees.

The story is very unique and special. I actually started watching this Anime only because it was so different from any other Harem Anime.
I love the story line and how each character evolves as the story progresses.
Animation
9/10
It suits the anime. It's simple no overly extreme. It has a touch of humor to it and so it's nice to watch.
Sound
9/10
Really good sound effects. Suits the mood and contributes to the overall charm of the Anime.
Characters
9.5/10
Haruhi is supposed to be the 'natural charmer'in the host club. Which is really funny she she is actually a girl and other girls are charmed by her.
The other members of the club consist of the president Tamaki Suou, a student who treats Haruhi like she is his own daughter and is hugely jealous of anyone else who approaches her; Kyoya Otori, the bespectacled calculating vice-president who serves as the brains of the club; Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin, a pair of mischievous identical twins who like playing tricks on the other club members and playing up a homoerotic angle on their relationship; Mitsukuni "Honey" Haninozuka ("Hunny" in the manga), a small, cute boy who has a great passion for stuffed animals and eating cakes; and Takashi "Mori" Morinozuka, a tall, quiet boy who is protective of Honey. All the characters are parodies of shojo manga characters, with Haruhi serving as the "natural" type, Tamaki as the "princely" type, Kyoya as the "cool" type, the Hitachiin twins as the "little devils", Honey as the "cute shotacon" type, and Mori as the "strong, silent type".
The characters are really very good. They were able to take different genres of manga and make characters out of them which I liked.
Each character had some hidden past that shaped the way they turned out to be.
I liked how they were able to help each other overcome their problems and finally become something that resembled a family.
Overall
9.5/10
I thought this Anime is pretty good if you just want to relax and have some fun.I especially like that the motto of the Host Club is aimed at making the customers who come there happy.
It's a touching anime and will make you a kinder person after watching it.
Loved the ending, it had a sense of completeness and you feel a great deal of satisfaction after finishing it.

Story
9.5/10
Edward and Alphonse Elric are two alchemist brothers searching for the legendary catalyst called the Philosopher's Stone, a powerful object which would allow them to recover their bodies (which were lost in an attempt to bring their mother back to life through alchemy).
The story takes you through the various stage of human nature and make you think deeply about yourself in the process. Since the homunculi in this anime are based on the Seven Deadly Sins, they are able to portray what makes a human a man.
Animation
...
9.5/10
Very good animation. The scenes work perfectly with the story line and it's wonderful to watch.
Also the graphics and art work are much better than the manga (which you usually find in all shonen mangas).
It's fun to watch and most moments are jaw-dropping.
Sound
9.5/10
Suits the mood and scenes perfectly. There are different background musics that are played repeatedly at different moments but all that works well together.
Characters
9.5/10
Very original, though a few characters are unnecessary.
The characters were designed to the role they would play in the anime and though sometimes there are too many of them, they always come back to help with the plot one way or the other.
Overall
9/10
I liked that the story was able to express and evoke so many emotions and reflect on sins and desires of being human.
Very strong and makes you think differently after you watch it.

Story
10/10
Long before the story's timeline, a writer named Drosselmeyer from Gold Crown (Kinkan) Town, played with others' fates using stories that became reality. For this behavior, his hands were cut off and he was killed by those fearing his power.
Drosselmeyer's final story was thus left unfinished, and the Prince and The Raven in it were locked in eternal battle. After many years had passed, The Raven broke free from the story and into the real world, and the Prince pursued him. To seal away The Raven, the Prince shattered his own heart with his sword.
Drosselmeyer had however written about himself before
...
he died, and thus continued to control events despite his death. When he sees a duck watching the sad, heartless Prince Mytho dancing on the water, Drosselmeyer decides to let the story take a new course. He gave the duck a magical necklace, which transforms her into a human girl named Ahiru (Duck), so that she might find a way to help the Prince.
-Wikipedia
The story is wonderfully fairy tale-like. From the first moment that you start watching it till the last second of the whole series, you are transported into another world. A surreal world where animals talk and dance, where a prince who lost his heart wanders aimlessly, where a knight who is afraid of death protects him and where a duck whose only desire is to turn into a girl to save the sad prince exists.
Every element of this story is beautifully done. Whether it's the stories and lessons they teach, the emotions they display or the way it could capture your heart so simply.
Animation
9/10
The ballet scenes in this were breath-taking. You hold your breath while watching them and a deep desire grows in you to one day learn ballet.
The character's emotions were displayed perfectly, it was like watching a dream.
I liked the small details they put in. Like the town clock, when it strikes an hour, little wooden figures of Princess Tutu and the Prince dancing, the Raven and the Prince alone come dancing out.
Sound
9.5/10
You can never go wrong with classical music. You have all the greatest compositions of the pioneers of western classical music used in the anime.
Every scene has it's own piece and that makes it all the more magical.
I love the ballet scenes that were expressed so well could not have been so perfect without the music.
You get a new found love for classical music too after watching this anime.
Characters
8.5/10
Each character had it's own life to it.
Duck who wished to be a girl when she saw the prince's sad eyes. Ahiru the girl, who was always held back in class and wished that someday she could become a great ballet dance. Princess Tutu whose only wish was the desire to collect the pieces of the prince's heart and make them whole for him.
Mytho, the prince who shattered his heart to kill the Raven. Who desired those feelings to come back to him while pondering on why each emotion was needed and why it felt that way.
Fakir the knight who was afraid to die. Whose purpose in the story was to one day die for his prince.
Rue the perfect ballet student who is sad and alone. Scared that one day even Mytho who she loved since she was a child will be lost to her. Princess Kraehe, the Raven's daughter who would do anything for him as only he would love her.
Each character had their own story.
I loved how Princess Tutu/Ahiru helped each one and in turn helped herself realize the meaning of- Be true to yourself.
Overall
10/10
This is my second favorite anime. Though it would be more enchanting to a child, it can make an adult remember suppressed emotions.
I would recommend this to anyone who once believed in fairy tales.

Story

The amazing world of vampires.. where they are ruled by the awesome power of the pure bloods...
Yuuki Cross who at the age of 5 was saved by a pure blood vampire Kaname from another blood thirsty vamp remembers this as her first memory. Now after ten years she studies at Cross Academy in the day class while at night roams the school grounds with Zero a vampire hunter who turns into a vampire from a bite given to him by a pure blood, to ensure that no one ever finds out that the night class actually consists of vampires. It a wonderful
...
story about a girl life as she lives in the world of vampire caught between awe and fear for them while she tries to discover her own past and ensure the well being of those close to her.
There is blood everywhere and a beautiful love story while she has to decide between the one who saved her and her childhood friend.
I love the story line, it's so different from the usual Vampire stories. Plus it gives you awe-inspiring moments.
Animation
8.5/10
Though it was really good it's not as great as the art work in the manga. There are some scenes that are absolutely beautiful to watch. The fight sequences and the ones that have blood make you go-O.M.G!
I love the scenes where there is a lot of tension in the air, it makes you hold your breath.
Sound
9.5/10
The opening and closing tracks are superb! Even the sound effect in the anime are well timed. The background music suits the mood of the scene.
Characters
10/10
Beautifully created. Each character suits the role given to them and they work together wonderfully to weave a magical tale.
Mostly the characters are dark and yet so beautiful that it's a sin to think of them.
There is a lot of hidden meaning behind each character's role and that makes you love them even more.
Overall
9.5/10
This is a total must watch!!!! I assure you that you will fall in love with the anime. The only downside is they stop before the real fun starts.
If you really want to pick up where you left off, you need to read the manga too.
- Quotes -
"The world is dyed with the color of blood. It will never be able to go back to the way it was before"
"The next time you open your eyes the world might have already changed"
"I will cover and hide the part of my heart that wants to cry and scream"
"Being like this makes me feel like we've returned to the old days somewhat. Yeah. Zero is Zero. Even if you are a vampire now."
"I didn't understand anything. Zero suffered and suffered for four years. What were you thinking, all by yourself? He loathes vampires so much, he wants to kill them all. All this time, Zero wanted to kill himself too."
"I long for him.... but I understand. There's a line that vampires and humans can't cross."
Yuuki Cross
"I want these gentle hands and this kind smile, even though I should not want such a thing"
"Her very existence means the world to me"
"Because Yuuki was there, I might have been able to live on..."
"But you thought it would be okay to become a vampire, right...? I will never let you turn into something like that. Even if it means I have to make Kaname Kuran my enemy...and even if it means you will hate me..."
"Thats why for you, you have the right to be cruel to me.
No matter how much you make me worry or how much danger you put me in, just as much as you like, but these are not enough compensation even I have to sacrifice my leftover life for you. I'd not utter a word of complaint"
Zero Kiryuu
"Humans should never be turned into vampires. But in the old days, hidden from history, when the war between vampires and vampire hunters was at its peak, vampires turned many humans into vampires to use in battle. And now the aristocrats have the duty to manage those survivors. Sometimes we have to kill them off..."
"It's all right. You be just the way you are, Yuuki. You're different from the Night Class students who wait on me... You're a warm-hearted girl, Yuki. That's more than enough."
"Zero, you're suppose to be the one that hates vampires more than anyone else... but you need blood more than anyone else. I think you're more vampire like than any other vampire."
Kaname Kuran
"I'll show you a sweet dream next night"
- in the anime.

Story
9/10
I fount the story to be quite different from the usual Shoujo manga style. It was honest and had a nice feel to it.
Because of this difference I think I enjoyed it all the more. I have the say that the acting in this anime is the best I've seen yet. They make a big deal of the littlest details which makes you enjoy it all the more.
Animation
8/10
The animation isn't all that great- just the usual kinda. But they were able to show case the different expression beautifully. Especially the one that involved acting scenes.
It was light and humorous hence
...
it suited the anime.
Sound
7/10
It's actually addictive. Certain phrases and words are used so many times that they pop up in your mind when you least expect it.
Characters
9/10
Superb and unique cast of characters with their own type of persona. Whether it's the non-believer of love Kyoko or the angel like smile Tsuruga Ren gives when he is angry.
You fall in love with them and their uniqueness.
Overall
9.5/10
This is a must-watch anime.
It's hilarious, sad, breath-taking and absolutely wonderful.
NOT YOUR TYPICAL SHOUJO MANGA!
The main character Kyoko is different and very like-able.
Her story is different, as well as her emotions.
A plot to become famous to exert revenge on the boy she loved after she finds out that he was just using her as a stepping stone.
Some scenes were so funny that you continue to laugh long after you have finished watching it.
I absolutely love this anime.
The only downside to it, is the ending.
It ended too soon!! Which forces you to read the manga.
I hope they make a season 2 of this great anime.
