'Dakaretai Otoko 1-i ni Odosarete Imasu'/'Dakaichi' just isn't working. As an anime, the series isn't very enjoyable because it can't follow the formula of the manga. The manga is almost entirely sex ...each chapter has gratuitous sex scenes that make up the majority of the plot. Takato and Junta aren't particularly compelling characters but when they were boning their brains out in the manga, you didn't care. But in the anime you're like, 'oh...so these guys...exist.'
Fact: turning a yaoi title into a shounen-ai doesn't work and Dakaichi is proof of that. The fact that each episode is so long and follows the narrative of the

plot without the sex just makes for an awkward and shallow story. I'm not looking for a porno, the manga was enough LOL but there's absolutely no substance to this series. The implied sex/fade to black is strange because the actual sex scenes in the manga take up so much space and so much of the characterization takes place there that the anime counterpart is hollow and at times nonsensical.
There's no room for character development because this plot revolves around sex that actually isn't happening on screen in the anime. Here's the formula: Takato goes to work, Junta behaves strangely, Takato gets insecure about Junta's oddness, Junta reveals he's been holding back and or forces Takato to sleep with him, they sleep together and that's it. If the series actually does follow the manga's actual story, they have a bit to work with but I think it'll still feel out of place.
Each episode is so painfully slow, boring and badly paced...I'll probably keep watching but it's a huge waste of time. Find a better BL series or read the manga. The one thing I'll give 'Dakaichi'' is that it's art style is pretty clean, the shading of their jaws are interesting and the main characters don't have massive hands and exaggerated features. The art was good enough! As a fujoshi that's seen A LOT of the BL titles out there, I don't recommend this one.

The third season of Boku No Hero Academia was kind of a bummer.
I don't remember if I felt this way about previous seasons, but this time around the pacing was awful. I think the show is too ambitious and not enough happens per season.
During the training camp arc, their focus was just all over the place. Like that arc had some amazing fights in it... but there are too many characters. Taking the time to zero in on each of their quirks and to show their growth/fighting just really bogged down the series for me. Like the chaos that broke out with the
...
villains descending on the camp? In real time that fight was probably less than an hour long but it was SO MANY EPISODES and not enough actually happened per episode!!! The highlight of that arc was Midoriya's fight with Muscular because it definitely still had his emotions during the fight, but there were less cut scenes with him being deep in thought and more action instead.
Although this won't happen, I think the series would benefit from axing 3/4 of the characters. Focus on the main students (Midoriya, Todoroki, Bakugo, Uraraka, & Iida) ...I'd even settle for just the first three to be honest)), a few of the pro heroes/villains and the story would be infinitely better.
All Might's fight against All For One was great and definitely a really good arc within the season. I didn't even mind the exposition of his students as they watched in horror. The repercussions and fall out of All Might exhausting his power and stepping down as the Symbol of Peace was really great too. I was interested in seeing what would happen with Midoriya because of it this season... but literally nothing happened. BUZZKILL. This is where the season stopped being good. Everything after that went downhill SIGNIFICANTLY.
I was really disappointed and at most times bored. Like yes, of course as a lover of slice of life, shoujo and characters being happy, I loved the idea of the students living in dorms and seeing what their life is like there! Really, I enjoyed that... but it just felt like a distraction from the story. Like more mud to trudge through to get to the meat of the season. I felt it a bit anxiety inducing that the story wasn't moving fast enough, like the episodes were just ticking by and really nothing was happening.
Any fighting that took place was too slow and FULL OF EXPOSITION. Midoriya vs Bakugo was such a letdown. It was mostly just cut shots of them being overcome with emotion and flowery words. (I watch a ton of romance anime, I'm not saying emotions/emotional scenes are bad, but I am ONLY watching BNHA for its action and it being a hero series!!!) This could've been the true highlight of the season! I mean, c'mon we've been waiting for this fight for THREE SEASONS.
I also don't find it believable that despite the way that Bakugo has TRULY tormented Midoriya over the years, treated him like absolute garbage and even inspired his hero name Deku ('Nothing' ) that Midoriya STILL CALLS HIM KA-CHAN? I'M SORRY, THAT IS CRAZY TO ME. I kept seeing reactions to that one scene where Bakugo gives him that backhanded compliment about him making One for All his own power on twitter and everyone's like OH MY GOD, HOW CUTE!!! THAT'S SO GREAT OF BAKUGO!! This kid does the bare minimum. Don't get me wrong, I like Bakugo because he's a ruthless fighter and I think he can be funny... but he's still a jerk. I don't understand how Midoriya has a sense of loyalty to him and considers him a friend. Also, if Midoriya really went all out, he could've won that fight - that bugged me too.
***Also Mineta needs to be removed immediately and the fact that he got his provisional license despite cowering in fear for the majority of the exam INFURIATED ME. Completely unrealistic. Please kill him off - he's not funny at all he's just disgusting.***
I love Shoto Todoroki the most, though. I think his character is truly great and his character design is lovely. His conflicting emotions, personality and overall growth is one of the best parts of the series. I wish they'd do a spinoff of just him, his relationship with his father, Endeavor, and overcoming his own demons. I find him more compelling than Midoriya even though he was mostly in the background of this season.
I have not yet read the manga, but I wonder if the pacing is faster. I think I'll check it out this fall and if it's less bulky, I might switch to it exclusively.
I wanted to like this season more, truly I did. But the second half of the season just seemed a bit ridiculous to me. Even in the season finale when it ended, I was like... 'that's it?'. I'm not sure if I'll watch the fourth season. Positives for the third season of Boku No Hero Academia include: the art was fantastic, the voice acting was great, I really liked the characters and also getting a glimpse into their personal lives this season, and the big fights were pretty great (particularly Midoriya vs Muscular). Worth checking out if you're invested in these characters and like how the story has been progressing.

I really wanted to like 'Darling in the FranXX', I saw the artwork and this pink haired teen (that I incorrectly assumed was the main character) and got excited. No, this anime is literally about man pain, the main male character's ~EMOTIONS~ and how women just act as foils to his character development. I thought I could put up with the hypersexualization of the female characters, I really did... I mean I finished High School of the Dead, despite it being majorly fanservicey and ecchi... but this one I just could not sit through another minute of.

me over the edge, they are LITERALLY used as tools. Almost like their bodies are like the basis of a motorcycle and the male character pilots the robot by moving her around. Every time there's an action shot and it pans to characters' reactions, it's only male characters, because the female characters are too busy BEING USED TO PILOT THE ROBOT. Nah. The initial setup of them being paired and the girls shivering or moaning was disgusting, the dialogue about 'I'm inside you' 'I'm going even deeper!!' was just too damn much.
Zero Two is supposed to be this inhuman badass character that legit kills all her pilots because she's TOO POWERFUL TO HANDLE. No, that didn't happen. She got tamed by a weak teenage boy, the only one that could save and understand her. Gross.
This anime was easy for me to drop, I wanted to like it, but it was really just an EVA ripoff that was sexist and quite frankly, disgusting. It's a shame because the art was good... everything else though, major disappointment.

I honestly loved this anime. I loved it in the way that I dreaded watching it every week because I knew I would sob my eyes out (and I did). 'Orange', (a manga adaptation), is about a group of high school friends that lose one of their own to suicide. Desperate to erase their regrets, they hope to change the past and save their friend's life. Naho, the protagonist, receives a letter from the future that gives these friends hope for a better tomorrow. This is a shoujo anime and a slow and sweet love story.

to follow a timeline and couldn't afford to rush through it. I liked how they took their time actually, Naho and crew were dealing with an emotionally fragile teenage boy and were desperate to save his life, so why would they rock the boat by trying to beat the clock?
I'm reading through people's frustration about Naho's character and it strikes me funny. She's a high schooler who just got a letter from the future BEGGING her to save a classmate's life. Naho is very meek and has trouble expressing her feelings and all of a sudden she's meant to fall in love with Kakeru because a letter tells her to. I can't even IMAGINE the pressure she was under. I think she handled it as well as a young girl who's that timid could possibly handle it! Suwa was my favorite character though, his projected future with Naho was wonderful and he was such a terrific friend to both Naho AND Kakeru (his romantic rival). To bow out of a romantic conquest (especially when you know what a nice future you have waiting for you) to save a friend's life is admirable.
I loved every character and I loved how they treated the subject matter with gravity and didn't glaze over suicide and allowed Kakeru to truly suffer through it to find he had an incredibly support system.
My only criticism was the quality of the animation VASTLY decreased episode by episode. Yes, sometimes their eyes were very wonky, but fortunately the story was strong enough to carry me through it. The music/sound was really great though!
I recommend watching this if you enjoy shoujo, are patient, and are prepared to cry. BECAUSE YOU WILL! <3
