All the anime I have in my favorites can be considered my "favorite anime", so no preference among them, same thing for manga, but I like to recommend people this manga called "NG Life", I find it underrated, or rather, not as popular as it deserves to be.

Favorite anime movie is probably 5 cm/s if that counts as one, how about you?

I'd say almost everything, but funny thing I like to mention about the difference is that FMA is more about brotherhood than FMA:Brotherhood,

FMA has put so much focus on the Elric Brothers, developing them on a deep level, that other characters were sacrificed (e.g. Winry), throughout the entire story, the focus is on their brotherhood, the end of brotherhood shows them thinking about each other, vowing to reunite, it's hard to explain in words, but the original FMA really shows the theme of brotherhood at its best.

I suppose FMAB's brotherhood refers to the entire cast as "brothers", if not then they really failed on the brotherhood aspect, or at least did not do as good of a job as FMA.

In the case of Winry, I find it a very weak argument that Winry being cast aside was a huge flaw in FMA, she was a side character to begin with, and in FMAB she simply provided the "romance" aspect to the story, which I can understand why most people would want, but in the grand scheme of things, it wasn't important/necessary at all. At the end it almost feels like there is a deeper connection between Ed and Winry, than Ed and Al, which is sad.

This is actually a minor reason why I like FMA over Brotherhood, but I like mentioning it :P

Overall, I mainly prefer the realism, and that manifests in many ways, I don't like saying this or even feel that this is the correct way to put it, but FMAB really is just another shounen action/adventure anime (to it's credit, the best of its kind), whereas FMA is so much more.

Glad to see fans of original FMA, it would be interesting to know why you prefer FMA over FMAB. I can rant about it all day but my opinions can be generally summed up by this article:

i dont think ive seen enough to adequately know my taste yet, but in general I do seem to enjoy shows that involve some sort of thought on moral dilemmas and the like. Honestly, though. As long as something's good, I'll watch it.(barring downright porn).
It’s time to ditch the text file.
