I was only able to watch 6 out of the 10 episodes of this anime, partly because my eyes glazed over as this anime did another explanation of some rule or reference and gave a mini wiki page about it and partly because I don't want to. Some of you may call this inaccurate, I call it efficient.
The plot is weak at best. 3 Kids get sucked into a wormhole and end up in some rpg type world where races and things of all sorts duel each other for supplies, goods, people and clan rights(which all gets explained in a monologue). They meet fan-service
...
rabbit and join her recently destroyed clan that has nothing but starving kids. They lost everything in a forced duel with bad people (no explanation here) and now are going rebuild and fight the bad people using the three kids that somehow got there. The general premise is overly complicated as before each new thing they introduce, they go through a monologue: Here is mushroom kingdom, the inhabitants are the cybermen, otaku, and spartans, don't worry though there is a natural light barrier that keeps the light out and otaku happy, also blahblahblah..
The over-the-top details however aren't as bad as the details that are left out and these details are the important story line ones. Both parties need to accept the duel before it is started. However the bad people can challenge us and take all our stuff even though we never gave consent.~no explanation~ (screw the rules, I have money). The bad guys have a name but we don't know what they really look like or the reason why they did this action.
It also doesn't make sense why the three kids like each-other and like the fan-service rabbit and her flea-bitten kids. The 5 second back story for each of them implies that all of the three are lonely but that makes sense because one is a control freak, one is a sadist, and the last only talks to animals. Now for some reason now that they are in a new world, they are social butterflies that do good for other people. They could go with the new world, new person path but they don't change personalities when it comes to interactions with people outside their clan. Why does the male lead wear earphones that aren't connected to anything? Are they earmuffs or is he secretly listening to Beiber or secret orders from Kim Jong Un? So many important questions go unanswered in this anime.
When it comes to the art it makes Dragon Ball Z look like it came out last year. The music and sounds they play have little to no correlation to the anime and its as if the video and audio department were communicating through a pasta noodle that broke in the middle. The OP is about being forced into a imprisoning world and destroying that world but the three kids were gods in their back-story worlds. The characters and their personalities make no sense nor are they consistent and are molded to the scene by the convenience of the author.
The light and dark in this anime are poorly balanced and this is easily explained in the scene where the main characters joke about the sexual use of the fan-service rabbit then when another character proclaims his lust the tone went from joking about sex to chauvinistic men-are-pigs attitude. It's almost as if the anime tried to pander to all ages but its too dark for children and its too childish for adults.
I watched this anime all the way to the 6th episode because I like giving anime a chance to surprise me, even if it starts off poorly, with something innovative or good. The only thing that has surprised me about this anime is how I've lasted through the 6th episode without melting my brain

It is really hard to tailor a romance anime.
Every other romance anime I've watched seems to think that romance equates to lust and those aforementioned anime fill scenes with flopping breasts instead of actual material. That being said, Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (The World God only Knows) goes for the tingling sensation within our hearts and not our no-nos.
The anime is more or less viewed in arcs or small episode series dedicated to individual girls that the main character(Katsuragi Keima) conquers. This idea is a double-edged sword where the pro's are that each girl gets highlighted and the key messages are beautifully projected but
...
the con is that every time he finishes(haha...stop) we are wanting a little bit more (which is how the author meant it to be). So in a metaphorical sense this anime is a firework not a symphony and for a romance anime that is unheard of because there is very little development of the female(but they do develop the main characters).
The art is good, they very it from normal to detailed to super un-detailed to the tone of the anime to inject either humor or passion. However, they really stand out in their sound. Being in a oddly holy and gaming genre, they use choir and house music which when combined which is oddly enjoyable. The endings are sung by the different girls he conquers and variation like that is fantastic.
As a gamer myself, I appreciate the gaming references along with the many other references they make in the anime. Although the anime is far from realistic its not absurd which wins lots of Microsoft points from me, too many anime go from funny to stupid and I am proud to say this is not one of them.
In the end, the anime hits a lot of good points from being innovative to hitting the right points. The authors deserve a nice car or a fire engine.

Being the only male in a sewing class or female history class or girls' locker room all have the similar feeling in which all the females in that said room are noticing you, which they normally won't do in the "normal" world. IS: Infinite Stratos brings this experience to you by creating a world where mechas(giant humanoid robots that are seemingly very inefficient in carrying out their duties yet look 9999% cooler) can only be driven by females, cept for a reason this one guy.
This one guy attends a futuristic school that teaches mecha stuff(history, combat and so on) and is filled with
...
other pilots (all female and either Asian or White, all other minorities don't exist in the future), and explores the relationships he makes throughout his time in school while also fighting other pilots with mechas. This is literally the entire plot of the anime. The main character gets thrown slices or arcs of each female character(cause its a harem if you didn't notice yet) and is forced to deal with their hots for his tots.
So the story doesn't hold up much but what about everything else?
Art and Sound is fine, I mean what isn't these days, characters are kind of dull, main male character is obtuse, other characters are pretty stereotypical, and have the hick for his masculinity(dirty mind you got there).
The last thing I want to get at before you leave is that there is a sense of racism in Infinite Stratos which is unsettling and distasteful. Like I pointed earlier, no other minorities but White and Asian exist in the future, as in even the background characters are all White or Asian and other minorities have no place in a UNIVERSAL school. Chinese people are short, English people have awful food and are annoying, Germans are Nazis and so on and so forth.
Is IS worth watching? It ISn't

Senyuu literally translates into short story, and that is what you are getting out of 'Senyuu'.
Each epsiode is 5 minutes long, with enough chuckles to fill a chucklebox. Everything about the anime(art, sounds, characters) are all at good at best, but where this anime stands out is through its quick and witty humor.
'Senyuu' follows the story of a king sending soldiers to fight demons, but is focused on bits of interactions between characters, which is brilliant because they are able to divulge on the fast-paced funny and interesting jokes and parodies while also having something to tie it to.
If you get tired of the
...
shouting matches of the Big 3 Animoos, or the twists and turns of the more complicated animes (which is saying pretty much everything else because a blank canvas can be at times more complex than 'Naruto' or 'One Piece'), I would totally recommend you turn on Senyuu; open a bag of snacks and pop a drink, and go for the wonderful short ride of Senyuu..desu.

This review may not be as accurate as the others because I've decided to stop watching after the 10th episode. Also take in mind that being a avid gamer, I have some biases towards SAO (Sword Art Online) that are going to show up in my review. So now that I got my disclaimer out, lets start bashing this anime.
Let's just say that I was hyped for SAO, it was about video games, a wicked twist, and every enjoyable aspect of a good MMORPG. Now where it falls (and it falls straight into hell, through every level of hell, and into the void) is
...
through the development of the plot and characters.
As a serious Sci-Fi anime, it needs to have realism to immerse the viewers in watching. Every plot hole in a serious Sci-Fi anime, detracts from the anime itself. After watching SAO, I would say it has enough plot holes to satisfy every horny teenager in the world and more; except for the fact that these holes are big enough to suck in our entire universe. The anime doesn't make sense scientifically, nor do the characters react in a way that normal people or gamers would.
FOR EXAMPLE SPOILER(many people don't die of natural causes: lack of water, food, muscular dystrophy etcetc, and even if they got to a hospital, can they really hospitalize that many people within 2 days(water) and for that long?)
Now the reason why I've decided to stop watching this anime is the amount of cheesiness in SAO. I like a small amount of cheese in my anime just like how I like cheese in my pasta. But, the amount of cheese in the anime is like walking into my favorite most legitimate Italian restaurant: Olive Garden, then having the waiter/waitress continuously grate cheese onto my pasta until the entire restaurant is filled with their highly exclusive aged Parmesan. The love interest is cheese, the lines they say is cheese, the fight scenes are cheese, the cry scenes are cheese, the friends are cheese, the traps are cheese. Pretty much everything is so obvious and overused in SAO that it is impossible to say that SAO is original and keeps you on your toes. There are way too many times that the main character's health goes to tip minimal that it becomes a common non-thrilling occurrence.
FOR EXAMPLE SPOILER( The female was crying over Kirito being all "boo-hoo you passed out for a few seconds I thought you died..." Please plebeian, we both know that if someone dies they shatter into a gazillion dust bunnies and also we both know you can see his bloody health bar indicating he is clearly still alive(even though this anime shouldn't be)).
SO IN THE END, EVEN IF YOU DIDN'T DECIDE TO READ THIS FAR OR SKIPPED TO THE END: IT HAD POTENTIAL, DROPPED THE BALL, COVERED THE PLAYGROUND IN GOOEY CHEESE, THEN I WALKED AWAY. IF YOU ARE GOING TO WATCH THIS, BEING A FAMILY SIZED BAG OF CHIPS AND AN EMPTY BAG OF EXPECTATIONS.

Too Long Don't wanna Read: Yea, Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakamatachi isn't bad, but its not good either.
REAL REVIEW:
The whole thought of an anime based on fairy tales intrigued me(which is why I watched the entire thing) yet fell short when they dropped the whole fairy tale thing near the end.
There are some logical fallacies like how the "hunter" in this story is in love with the "wolf" and not "little red ridding hood" - if I get my facts straight hunter kills wolf and saves granny-(not seen) and red ridding hood, but w/e.
Hansel and Gretal are seen at brief intervals during the anime
...
with some-sort of incesty feelings towards one and another but they deny their incest so i guess its ok.
They do some referencing in the anime-notably ToraDora and some other anime.
Again these are just lentils compared to the real chunk in which we dive now.
The main characters work at a "favor" bank where they do favors for students expecting favors back. weirdly enough they seem to be spending favors faster than they could make em seen in a swimsuit ep(sigh) where they blow their savings on telling the students not to vote for their own bank employees.
Anyhoo that being the setting the real dilemma is that something happened to Ookami(wolf) by a mysterious guy which turned her mentally into a man, being aloof in trait and does boxing,
Due to that trait Morino(hunter) and Akai(Red Riddin) get attracted to her, where they get feelings of "ooh she is strong" and "I want to protect you" which seems to be the generic feelings these days of making girls strong yet need to be protected - because they are girls.
Also Morino is sociophobic which means he unable to look at people, reason for it- because he is a hunter and takes comfort in seeing and not being seen, which is weird because Snake in Metal Gear Solid takes this to an extreme and he himself is not sociophobic at the least. Anyway He confesses to Ookami because thats what sociophobes do, and tells her his confession to which he gets denyed but denial isn't something that bothers Morino because later he joins a team with Ookami and uses events and flag points to sway her to his favor.
Ending goes something with enemy school de la ghetto decides that even though they got beaten by Morino and Ookami, they can take the entire bank, which starts with kidnapping Ookami. Ohoho but soon they realize that it was all masterminded by Ookami's past loved one, and as Morino and (past loved one) fight it out, (which oddly PLO had a knife yet never used because advantages are unfair) Ookami gets over the past trauma and Morino and Ookami both win, which is to say until the Bank decides to leave them alone and negotiate through IMs.
Last Minute Notices:
Narrator talks over the people sometimes, which is annoying as hell.
This anime parody's scene shots which is funny till overused.
Morino has a lisp and is very bipolar with his sociophobe so take it to account.
Other than Ookami and Morino, all other characters are very minor, even the main bad guy.
So in the end this anime is like putting ketchup on potato chips, yes its something you might wanna try, but there are so many better things to eat, like potato chips in sandwiches.

If you don't like reading and just wish to know my opinion on whether or not you should watch this anime, my candid answer would be: "No, No, No, don't fall for the trap i did and just watch something else because Hidan no Aria is mind-blowingly bad".
You're still here?
Well then, lets get into the nitty gritty.
By the way, there will be SPOILERS HERE, I know I'm not supposed to, but I can't write a review on how bad the anime was without 'em, so TEEHEE
So, lets start with the characters,
There is the VERY average anime male(Kinji), who holds the typical traits of
...
an anime male, who is the protagonist, which is rare because in most anime he'd be 20 feet from the camera and is rendered blurry cause he ain't worth attention. Now, he is exceptionally normal except for the fact he has a specially ability which I call the "boner ability". When he achieves a boner, he basically bones all enemies and becomes super smart, super brave, and super duper duper stuff.
There is the short girl(Aria), who plays the average short girl routine which is embarrassed about her height and bra size, and is apparently licensed to shoot anything without repercussion because she doesn't hesitate to dual-shoot anything. Also she is somewhat related to Sherlock Holmes but it give her anything.
Then there is the rest of the characters, few male companions of Kinji who are also very average, Riko, Hotogi, the sniper, jeanne, and vlad. none of which were important till the end.
Now the worst bit- the story
I liked where the story was headed(which is why I watched the whole thing) but it ended in another direction which got me disappointed and wilted.
All the characters are part of Butei a school for free lance police that fight terrorists.
-But seeing that the terrorists are aimed at the Butei, and Butei shooting up and bombard areas just shows how they improve their society which is to say of a negative effect.
But never-the-less they are fighting crime, which is till ep 6 where Aria decides to use the Butei for her personal gain and try to free her imprisoned mother who is sentenced to 900 some years(no im not kidding).
Then we find out that Riko is Lupin(which gives her the ability to use her hair like hands) and Aria is Holmes(nothing) and they must fight because fictional English books affect Japanese anime in more than just humor.
Somewhere here Aria and Kinji meet Jeanne - Joan of Arc's relative which gives her the power of ice, which makes even more sense because history and fiction go hand in hand.
Also around here is when Aria agrees to work with Riko who previously hijacked a plane to kill her, (which makes sense because you would work with people that tried to kill you with a plane) to steal something that Riko wants so that Riko can testify to clear her mother and go to jail herself - a fool proof plan indeed.
Ending- Riko betrays them attempts to kill Aria(again), then gets stopped by Butei teacher, Vlad aka. count dracula who is also a werewolf. If you are drawing a big (WTF) around here its because I did too. Anyway Riko teams up with Aria and Kinji who have memories of goldfish and forgives Riko and takes down Vlad by shooting weak points marked out in nice white paint as if he was a first boss in a RPG game.
Now if you are outraged that I didn't mention Hotogi- screw you, she wasn't important and all.
Also if you thought my summary of how poorly written Hidan no Aria was somewhat confusing in any manner, then for you, watching Hidan no Aria will be like giving birth to a 30 lb. baby.
