Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun

If you have watched Gekkan Shoujo, then its absolutely necessary that you watch at least some shoujo anime (or better yet, read manga, if you're into that sort of thing). However, shoujo, with its odd art style and often bizarre plots (that Gekkan Shoujo makes fun of) can be hard to stomach for anyone that doesn't enjoy it already. Luckily, Ouran is a "light shoujo", which makes fun of itself and is surprisingly self-aware for its genre; it also has very little if any "shoujo drama" that often puts off viewers. If it doesn't make you want to watch more shoujo, it will at least make re-watches of Gekkan Shoujo more enjoyable.
