Many characters supposedly got killed, only to appear the next chapter still alive for some miraculous reason. That concept repeated itself WAY too many times, the overtly used process exhausted the tension and deflated the emotional boom that it would've caused. Anime is definitely better, and 9 is not a fair score, it's just that I have a thing for the story, so I rated it higher.
