Finished all 17 volumes in one go.

Fuan no Tane would be a lot better if all the chapters were like 'Midair' from volume 2.

Some differences I've noticed between the manga and anime so far (no spoilers):

*Shinji is more sassy (particularly with Touji)

*After Gendo abandoned Shinji, he went on to live with his aunt and uncle, not his teacher.

*When Asuka is introduced, she acts all humble in front of Misato and says it was Shinji who saved her from a bunch of thugs (in reality, she saved him). Odd...

*Kensuke has a huge crush on Asuka.

*Asuka is the one to tell Shinji about the real story of the Second Impact.

*When Asuka and Shinji need to synchronize, they get put in a room together with twin beds in NERV headquarters for 5 days.

*Shinji knows Touji is the Fourth Child prior to his fight with Bardiel possessing Unit-03.

*Misato slaps Kaji. Twice.

*Kaji's background is damn tragic.

*Kaworu does something...really horrifying.

First thing the Prince notices about Miyako are her breasts, so he asks his butler, "There are melons over there." WTF. And then when they talk for the first time (about his great-grandmother), he attempts to rape her. Double WTF. Then he kisses her without consent after she faints again. And, the last panel of the first chapter ends with the Prince thinking, "Found myself a funny toy."

This is a goddamn shoujo.
