Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea and Nicola Traveling Around the Demons' World are two relatively short fantasy series with a cute young witch as the main character. Both manga give off a fairy tale vibe with their cutesy aesthetics and the type of whimsical tone as you read. Mysteries and humanoid characters are abound, but also keep in mind that Wadanohara's story features violence, blood, and some horrific imagery.

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea and Nice Day For a Little Mermaid are both 2-volume fantasy manga that features humanoid characters, including a few mermaids. They both have a cute chibi-esque art style and try to feel very wholesome as the main character tries to be generally kind to everyone. There is also particular focus on the main character and a male character who is a different species than her.

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass are two shot manga based off of (apparently) fairly popular video games themed around the ocean. The main character has a ship and companions with whom they travel with along the seas and share many moments of cutesy comedic banter throughout their fantasy quest. The past also haunts a character or two, which adds a bit of mystery to the story.

Both being based around video games and both being a sea based journey to get to the goals as well too.
