PROS:
The manga is pretty funny. Especially with the cat-faces and "meowing" because... well, I don't really know why, but it just was. At first. Then after about two chapters of me not knowing wether the original characters were actually meant to be human or wether they were supposed to be human-cat hybrids, I got both confused and frankly, quite annoyed.
The cutesy-wutsey moments were quite a nice change because the whole manga is this: tease Aria in the most horrible way; gets shouted at by her; Aria then runs off and gets into trouble; she either comes running back and begs for help or Tennoji helps
...
her out of the "goodness of his heart". In the end, Aria who has never done anything wrong loses confidence in herself and thinks she's the one in the wrong, goes back and forgives him/begs forgiveness. Tennoji, who NEVER does anything nice is basically, in one word, a TWAT. He treats her like sh*t, calls her ugly, goes out with other girls, never explains anything to Aria and he also seems to just expect everyone to bow at his feet.
..this has already gone to CONS, so we'll just continue there (there's no more pros anyway :P ):
Tennoji a selfish, conceited bastard who thinks he's the only one who's feelings should be considered. The first half of the manga shows him caring more for his friends and (very) occasionaly Aria too. But later he does this less and less and acts more and more like an absolute jerk. I just want to hate him so much. I would love Aria as a character, except for the fact that she doesn't believe in herself. Ever. She seems too stupid to think for herself at all, and doesn't even notice that she does nothing wrong. None of the side characters from the dorm have any redeeming features, as they are fickle, have no sense of honour, and only care for taking the piss of Aria and following and copying their twattish leader. Until she gest kicked in the face, of course.
The storyline, as I said previously, is just plain repetitive. There's a few different underlying storylines, but none of them really go together at all. And every single storyline is essentially the same (see: above).
The art is quite dated, but that's a given as this is a manga that was drawn in the late 90s. Though that's no excuse for the fact that every character looks exactly the same except for hair colour and facial hair. There was an extra chapter and I actually thought it was the continuation of the manga until I realised that the main character wasn't called "Satsuki-chan". Although I'll admit the guys are quite hot. Or would be if they didn't appear as cats 98% of the time...
Saying all that, there was something that kept me reading (
