This would be my first review regarding both anime and manga, so I'm sorry for ANY grammatical errors or if I happen to stray off topic.
Anyway, to start off, Celebrity Yuukoujouyaku is another of Kurahashi, Erika's many works about a girl who got dumped by her rich boyfriend just because of family/financial issues. Talk about pathethic.
=Story: 6 - Fair=
For the story, I'll give a fair 6. The story is kind of common already for me, about girl who has bad luck in love. The story was smooth, and for me, it had no holes. The reason for the break-up was clearly described...and stuff like that.
Well,
...
to put it simply, the story/plot is as simple as it can get and you wouldn't have to think hard to understand the concept. Unfortunately, the reason why I only gave it a 6 is because of the lack of unique-ness. The story was plain, and onle barely managed to capture my attention. You could say that the reason why I continued reading was because I didn't have another manga to read. And so I just picked this up.
=Art: 8 - V. Good=
I liked the art. It isn't too stylish, and the fact that this manga's quite old can be seen in the art. The character designs reminded me so much of Mermaid Melody. Although the art isn't really clean, I guarantee that you wouldn't lose track - it IS still readable.
=Character: 7 - Good=
The character development is acceptable, and their personalities were clearly described/portrayed. I have no reason to dislike the characters, yet I have no reason to like them either.
=Enjoyment: 7 - Good=
Even though at times I got bored and/or confused, I still enjoyed this manga somehow - enough that I won't stop reading it till the end.
=Overall: 7=
All-in-all, this manga is just another of those shoujo mangas out there. The key here is to not expect too much and just "let it flow" and embrace the simplicity that this manga has to offer.
