Preliminary (285/314 chp)
I think this series is way too underrated (at least in the west) and I write this review to help getting it more recognition. I think I'll just straight out say why I immediately fell in love with this series and why it became one of my favourite manga.

The characters 9/10

I think there are just a few manga, which I've read, which have just such a large variety of great characters, from the main character to the "villains" there's no bad character, and I say "villains" because in the beginning you think you have a good understanding of who are the good guys and ...

TL:DR
Read this. Manga has a great plot, with characters to match. The action is short but sweet and well-choreographed. There's pretty damn good comedy to lighten the mood. Also contains a lot of information on native Ainu culture.

Story: 10/10
This manga kept me on the edge of my seat constantly. The story is complex with multiple converging plot threads that . Several separate groups vying for the gold, coming into conflict, but alliances constantly shift so the status quo is never held for long. The author does a good job changing the balance of power so no one group is ever clearly in the lead ...

Sugimoto survived the Russo-Japanese war of the Meiji era. To save his deceased comrade windowed wife, Sugimoto trying to find the hidden stash of gold to help complete his friend dying request. During This adventure Sugimoto partners up with Ainu girl who saved his life and both have different motivation yet the same conclusion so they team up.

From this description, you think they nothing that special about this series in hindsight you're correct however what this manga does to distinguish from what could a simplistic manga is amazing. The attention to detail for this time era 1903-1904 is kinda outstanding this feels a ...

First review here, bear with me for a bit (haha, get it?)
Genuinely one of the most fun rides ive ever read
Golden Kamuy has a very wide cast of characters, fleshes all of them out enough that they feel real, and has you rooting for all of them. There wasn't a single character in here that i didn't like or thought was pointless. The pacing is fast but also takes its time to make sure the stuff that matters isnt rushed. The plot is intriguing and absolutely filled with twists and turns that made me want to read more. All the antagonists are fun and interesting, ...

Not gonna lie, I was browsing through the top something mangas and i opened this tab to see what is it about and went and closed it. Little did I know I missed such a gold mine. So skipping a few months later, I decided to give this a try and holy --- im shooked at how good it was. Masterpiece, even. The plot seems weird at first but the way Noda-sensei intricately wove all the characters involved is so amazing. The best part about this manga imo is the characters. No other manga has the cast this stacked tbh (again, imo). Its so hard ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (71/314 chp)
It all started quite promising and then gone terribly bad.

It started as a late 1800s early 1900s Japanese country-side story with a native girl and a war veteran. Both lost their loved ones and getting together what comes next.

Is perfectly realistic and good stakes at surviving.

But then the series turned out the be historical Japanese and less fantastic version of Garth Ennis's Preacher.

Gay man, that dresses an elephant costume that made out of the skin of dead men ? And swinging the trunk of the costume that covers his lower waist load (p-word) . WTF ?!

The anatomically impossible to live ...

It's a gritty and gory manga that doesn't hold back, the lead is a crazed army veteran partnered with a young skilled tribal girl, who has a whole white wolf at her disposal.

Plot Synopsis: It's a gold rush story, more gold than Japanese GDP at the time, and the map is in parts engraved on the bodies of a bunch of notorious outlaws, who are supposed to be ambushed one by one and skinned, dead or alive to retrieve the full map.
Moreover, a crew of ruthless martial artists and a whole army battalion with a lunatic commander is also after it, not to ...
