In both the manga, you witness similar character dynamics - a school delinquent, and a young boy who's the only one in the school who knows the delinquent to be a softie at heart. 

Both manga have a similar vibe - a sweet young boy and his interest in a delinquent with a hardcore reputation in his school 

The scariest dude from the school (who is actually a nice guy) falls in love with the only person who ever saw through his appearance and treated him like an equal. Oh, and he also loves cats! 

Maybe it seems a little odd to compare a historical, supernatural Manga with a Yaoi - but here is why I'll do it anyway: The first thing to notice is, that the art of both works are alike. It's a style I've come to like very much during my time with "Mushishi" and so I was excited to see such a similar way of drawing in "Nirameba Koi". But that only adds up to the main point: The atmosphere in both works is very subtle but tense, there is no big uproar in neither of the mangas and yet they are very captivating. I think that's thanks to the main Charakter of "Mushishi" and the one part of the Yaoi-Couple. They are gentle, confident but certain. They take things as they are and love even - or more like especially - the rather strange and at times scary mysteries of their worlds. I like their way of handling issues and being just theirselves. If you are into mystery-plots and not averse to some nice pages of boys-love you're good to go! read more 

This rec is for ch1-4 of Rush. A school delinquent with a rough exterior but a soft heart, falls immediately in love with a fellow student in his school. Throughout the manga, we see our MC struggle with displaying his emotions to his lover, as well as him coming to terms with his changing personality. 

The school delinquent, often mistaken for a scary and rough guy, is actually a softie, and he is the way he is due to his family issues. He is also the first to fall in love with a "regular" student at school, and after his feelings are reciprocated, what follows is a very cute love story between two high school boys with vastly different personalities. Bonus: Both the ukes too aren't shy and timid (like uskes generally are) - they're strong, opinionated and feisty in their own ways. 

The school 'delinquent' (with a face that could scare the nastiest of people away) as actually a softie at heart, who immediately ends up falling for his adorable little junior.  

A scary looking school mate, who has a bad reputation among his students because of unfounded rumours, find an unlikely friend (and future lover) in one student who was willing to give him a chance 

The atmosphere in each manga had me remembering the other. Both Doutei Hitsuji to Abazure Ookami and Nirameba Koi have a tough guy type of uke. They are also stories where the seme is originally straight, but eventually fall in love with the uke, even if they may be just a little scared of them.
