Well this is my first time reading a one shot manga so I'm not too sure about how to review it so I'll keep it basic and short.
The story is about a girl named Akino. As she is visiting the mountains with her father one day during Autumn, she finds some blue leaves and then, she comes across with a blue tree. There, she meets a boy named Konoha whose spirit lives in that blue tree. Akino learns that she can only see Konoha during Autumn so she waits for Autumn to come each year as she starts hating other seasons.

It's cute, but a scene-for-scene ripoff of Hotarubi no Mori e, except with a tree motif rather than a yokai motif. Kon no Ki Konoha is alright, but it leaves a bitter taste in my mouth that it's wholly unoriginal. I'm not being nitpicky, there are nearly 1:1 correlations, and this story was published five years after Hotarubi no Mori e. That being said, the art is decent, and it's a sweet and tragic story. A solid one shot that leaves an emotional punch. But go read Hotarubi no Mori e because it does everything this manga does, except better,
