OH my gawsh!!! i absolutly fell in love witht his mang! its aout twins, Siva and Cipher, and these twins are so close a paper wont fit in between them, until Anise comes. Its sooooooo good! there are 12 volumes! I must buy it!!!! oh yes and the maga is from the 80s so you have people like billy joel and The Twin Towers are in the background... ya. But its good! And there is a sequel called alexandrite. Its about a character that comes from later on the manga! ahhh goodness! No it not yaoi... (i thought it was by the cover...)

I was introduced to this title by a friend when I was in high school (eons ago before English translations were widely availability in the U.S.). This title was very popular in Taiwan.
The story centers around twin brothers and we follow their personal identity struggles. It's a coming-of-age story and quite honestly, it was anti-climatic for me. I was expecting some kind of epiphany or some great revelation for the brothers but, that didn't happen. :( The artwork was very consistent throughout the whole series. TL;DR: Cipher is one of the absolute strangest manga I've ever read, but underneath the layers of whack you can find a basic, typical shojo.
L;DR: I'm not sure if I'm even qualified to talk about Cypher because I only mustered up the strength to read about 40 chapters? Can't say for certain, it was a bit ago. Alright, where to even start with Cipher? I got introduced to Cipher from a Kenny Lauderdale video touching on the wild OVA that was released, and this is what initially peaked my interest in the series.
