I am a fan of the works of both Ikegami Ryoichi and Koike Kazuo and this superb combination has provided us with many classic works. I Ueo Boy is not one of them.
What started as an intriguing plan for revenge quickly degenerated into a desperate and endless struggle to survive. A spiral that takes the story away from the grand and intriguing plot that was the initial hook to the series.
Along the way, we are treated to a wild and wide cast of interesting characters. Despite their best efforts, the characters were not enough to lift what was ultimately an ill-conceived story to begin
