Both are similar in that Full Moon Joker centers around Jokers [a joker card] that can take over a human's body and cause them to act to their will. There's also romance in there a lot too and many funny parts. 

Both girls have the ability to see through the persons inner/true feelings. Romance ;) 

Both of them have a girl with a special ability , that is forced to join the student council because of that ability and protect the students , hunting down the X eggs in shugo chara or the jokers in full moon joker.
