I recommend this because they share a similiar atmosphere of sadness. They both involve a woman that's having hardships involving the piano, and a guy she's falling in love with. Both very well written

Both main characters are piano prodigy's that hit a roadblock in there career. The two main characters were forced to become a piano prodigy by there parents and have to practice constantly--in Moon Hye Rin's case in excess of 10 hours a day. These manga are seinen/shounen but could easily be seen as josie/shoujo based on the artwork. Either way, they can be enjoyed by anyone, male or female.

Very different themes (one is a "ghost" story, whereas the other is centered around music), but the relationship between the main characters in both of these manga are very similar. Both relationships start slowly and reluctantly, and end up with the main characters providing a lot of emotional and psychological support for one another. In neither does the manga focus on the physical or sexual aspects of a romantic relationship. The characters struggle through many challenges together, however, neither pair ends up with a happy ever after ending. Both are also webcomics, and are very emotional to read.

Emotional stories involving a rocky relationship between a burnt-out classical piano prodigy and a musician who plays from the heart. In both, the relationship starts out reluctantly, but leads to the two musicians forming a very strong bond as they endure the obstacles placed before them and explore what it means to live your life. As for differences, SnA is not as heavy as Diamond Dust, and involves a younger cast. The relationship in Diamond Dust is romantic, whereas in SnA it is a platonic "bromance"

They share the same "deep love-story destined to die due to degenerative illness" theme. In particular Socrates in Love prefers show all the teenage feelings of timid and unexperienced students, Diamond Dust is more about social outcasts: a depressed pianist and an indie artist facing the problems of being unable to communicate to the world. They share the same "pathos" and similar extreme and desperate sentimental actions: going to Australia and "smuggling" the grandmother's ashes for the two students in love, completing and performing the song "Diamond Dust" for the two musicians. Tragic endings in both works, but quite fitting the idea of sentimental "Bildungsroman".

In these Korean Manhwa, both main characters are piano prodigy's that face great hardships and tragedy. Both deal with many of the same themes like self-doubt, restrictions put upon them by their parents, mental illness, pressures of society, etc...
