Snow Drop is a wonderful and eye-catching manhwa which explores the love between a young boy and a girl tied by a secret from the past. The story unravels with a similar destined fate to Romeo and Juliet, where the two teenagers seem to be nothing but opposites living in different worlds. However, they fall in love almost instantaneously unaware of what troubles will threaten them and their love in the future. A manhwa highly recommended for those who enjoy a destined or powerful lovers trope.
Along with the author's unique style, Choi Kyung-ah has written a story of mesmerising qualities of fate alongside a

harsh reality. It touches upon unenjoyable yet important real life scenarios such as depression, sexual assault, exploitation, kidnapping and murder, where the only source of optimism look to be from love. The contrasts create a feeling of hope and anticipation for the good to overtake the bad. The lingering love between the protagonists appear so pure and true, yet it seems the whole world is against them no matter what they do.
The story's pacing is layed out neatly, with enough room for the reader to get to know the characters, connect to them and watch them develop. Each volume leaves the reader wanting more, asking themselves what possibly could happen next, as the two teenagers meet hinder after hinder. Even at the worst times where nothing may seem possible, there still exists a tiny glint of hope, in this case it is to believe in fate and miracles.
Not only do the readers learn about the characters through text, but also visually, as Choi Kyung-ah incorporates a lot of fashion for the characters to express themselves. It also contributes to the significant style of the manhwa, adds additional value to the story and is visually pleasing and inspiring.
As the title reveals, the manhwa implements a lot of symbolism surrounding flowers, which provide a very interesting way to explain the situations and circumstances. The importance of the title's origin can be reflected upon after the completion of the manhwa, as the Snowdrop's meaning follows throughout the whole story.
