Let me just say that I loved reading this manga, I at first didn't think I'd love it so much but here we are. Now, I'm not the most seasoned manga reader nor reviewer so bare with me.
I liked the story, even if the whole 'forced to stay together' plot isn't new, the characteristics of it are. The white jewel accessories and there power were interesting, but I can't say much more due to spoilers.
The characters were what made me enjoy this so much, the story was nice but the actions of Yoruma and Sayatoki really brought it together. They at first were extremely suspicious
...
of each other due to being from forces and were VERY committed to not trusting each other in the slightest even if they are stuck together. But their development into actually trusting and growing fonder of each other is smooth and you get to see them realize that the other is a good person that has experienced something that makes them like this. By the end of the manga, though is ended perhaps a bit abrupt and could have continued longer (*eyes her other works*), brings together the story and their relationship.
On the art, it's Shiho Sugiura. It's going to look nice, her art style though not revolutionary is a nice addition to the manga.
Only complaints I have is the manga could have easily continued longer, like her other works Silver Diamond & Koori no mamono no monogatari. The manga didn't really incomplete or if it was missing something no, but it feels like it was sort of did the minimum amount to make a nice decent end. The other thing is about the ending battle(?), it felt clustered. Not to say spoilers, but at some points while reading I became confused.
But overall, I really enjoyed this manga. If your looking for a tame shounen ai adventure manga with likable characters and nice art, I greatly recommend Shuuten Unknown.
