In feudal Japan a deadly transformation technique has spread across the land spawning an evil group known as the Bloodwheels whose plan to take over the land creates chaos and destruction throughout the valley. However a young man named Hayate wanders the lands cutting down those with this transformation technique one by one with his own special transformation that rivals the Bloodwheels, but is he doing so for the sake of justice, or to fulfill his own personal vendetta.
